need help on diy'in adapter for ad8620

Recommended Posts

i have 2 8620 chips that i wanna use, but they do not have the adapter to make it usable on my amp like the 637, its too small, may i know if anyone of you are able to help me solder the 2 chips onto a pcb and make it like a 637/627 opamp, im totally not into diy, so i don't know what terms to use for all these, sorry about that.

the name of such PCB is brown dog adapter

aint that cheap

alternatively, bpribadi has written a simple alternative way to the brown dog adapter

however, both ways require you to be able to solder SMD parts

those browndogs are way too expensive. i would suggest that you try the methods suggested by bpribadi. however, i find soldering them directly onto 8-dip sockets much faster and easier.

hmm then I'm wondering how r u going to change the op-amps around?

or the DIP socket put into another DIP socket?

I think I'll grab some and try tongue.gif
