papaya86 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 or alternatively, any of u guys know where to buy those pcbs and the 8 pins for me to solder them into a "637 sized" opamp?
squalle 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 the name of such PCB is brown dog adapter aint that cheap alternatively, bpribadi has written a simple alternative way to the brown dog adapter however, both ways require you to be able to solder SMD parts

1bit 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 Browndog adapter there you are
kross 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 those browndogs are way too expensive. i would suggest that you try the methods suggested by bpribadi. however, i find soldering them directly onto 8-dip sockets much faster and easier.
squalle 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 i find soldering them directly onto 8-dip sockets much faster and easier. hmm then I'm wondering how r u going to change the op-amps around? or the DIP socket put into another DIP socket? I think I'll grab some and try
kross 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 i mean dip onto dip...some more those sockets are quite cheap...30cents each tropicalrips did them and i tried them...it works and still can op-amp roll...
