To add on:

 

The mids of the GS1000 is more detailed than that of the DT990. However the mids of the DT990 has a tad more wieght and warmth over the GS1000. Not to be mistake that the GS1000 mids has no warmth, it is only sligthly warm. That maybe the signature of my setup. In terms of PRAT, the DT990 seems to lose out to the GS1000

Hey guys we are comparing apples and oranges here. Perhaps a better comparison would be with a Grado SR-325i? The Beyers DT-990 have a very different house sound from the Grado range. My 2¢
