adhoc 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 (edited) ... stock cds that are IMO very scratched. though cheap. and unless you love those 70s 80s chinese singers type of music dont hope for much. a much better place to look would surprisingly be yahoo singapore auctions. you wouldnt believe how many people buy an album, rip it, then sell it. all in one day too. evil-zen 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 try going to gramaphone first. they actually have some good cds which are in pretty good condition. i bought a few myself and they can be considered mint. ] gramaphone: capitol building (opp cityhall mrt) raffles place mrt specialist centre(somerset) cash convertors on the other hand has lousier cd selection. and they look pretty beat up. but if you want to buy used electronics ie pcdp, cash convertors is it. cash convertors: tampines toa payoh and one more not sure? iconic 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2003 my friend suggested the one at tampines i think. we are both in brisbane australia though. he also said cash convertors have good cds!! and in good condition! he must have lied them another friend in singapore bought me some cds from gramaphone, he said there is a good collection. but the friend here says they are more expensive than cash convertors i'll check out the yahoo site! evil-zen 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2003 yeap i think gramaphone has a 'selection test' for used cds. actually has some good stuff there in top notch condition. cash convertors on the other hand, takes in everything like a rubbish dump. you will see one hit wonders that never released any other albums. iconic 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 the yahoo site seems to be pretty expensive, $10 on each cd? how much are ones at gramaphone on average? what i am thinking to do is, i send the person money through the mail or use paypal or send headphones, if want the ones i have for sale, ask them to purchase the cds for me, and then send it to australia. if any more money needed, i'll send more money out.
