Altec Lansing iM series earphones

Judging from the price of ER4 from amazon and in singapore..

 

Er4 is about $300 from Amazon while Singapore is selling it for $400 or $450 but with warrenty..

I guess you all can forget about it being less than $200 or even $250

my heart will bleed for tt particular ER4... think itz better to wait for someone's ER4 to give up on him/her rt??

iM716 would be gd below 200... mayb around entry IEMs such as UM1 and er6i etc...

Since Etymotic designed the iM716, it wouldn't be surprise to see both ER-4p and iM716 using a similar looking driver which are actually different. Unless someone is able to run a lab test on them which is more $$$...... I would rather audition the both and if I really can't tell a different between the two, then the iM716 is really something.

but im not sure if itz as burnt in as theory's...

well, i can say the built in driver is diff... er4p and im716 in bass mode is totally diff sound sig...

Well, have you tried the ER4S before?

ER4S is the supposedly bass heavier one..

Seems like iM716 pwnz every other IEM out there, except the sonudstage but what we can know is that IEMs doesnt give u that much headroom and soundstage like what a headphone can do..

haa... burn in is a never ending process...

 

i never tried Er4s before. pretty hard to find in SG huh....

 

i won't say im716 pwnz every IEM out there... is more of a personal preference... to me, it in the same range as SF5pro, UM2, E4 and Er4p. i have not try out those triple driver IEM yet so no comments.

just add a resister cap to ur mini jack!

that wil do the trick to transform ur er4p to s.

i know that. but i do not have at 75 ohm resistor... if not i'll try on my im716 too...

u can search for such around sls and slt, i believe u can find such resistor caps there IIRC.

iM716 is priced at USD 104... but itz being sold by a diff company... ANTonline i think...
