augustineRS 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2004 I bid for 2 from eBay, but was trying to get from Altoids too, their price is lower too.
N@Z 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 I successfully bid on some empty dilbert tins on ebay, they were fairly cheap since no one else bid on them but the shipping is the killer! Probably the reason why Altoids.com didn't want to do international shipping unless to retailers.
augustineRS 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 (edited) ??? I didn't find the dilberts' I buxom lady altoids came in. Now waiting for the love tin,Tiny Tin(wintergreen),Apple Sour,Tiny Tin(peppermint) and Heat Miser Cinnamon. Only hope that the ch*w*ng g*m altoids can make it in a side note on shipping, if u find shipping too high, do you guys ever bargain on the shipping/handling charges? I attempted this not too long ago on something from eBay and the result is suprising. The seller actually lower the price, but his answer was given in such a way that i expect the packaging quality to go down.I know that packaging/handling charges is one of the ways they earn on a deal but the rates are way too high for some. N@Z 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 There are 11 empty tins in the set I won all with the different covers. Eyeing some more desirable tins There are some really nifty camel cigarette tins but they are alot thinner.
N@Z 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 Patchi luxury chocolates from Saudi. The tin has a neat window which should make a great looking DIY amp enclosure. Measures 5 5/8'' x 4'' x 1 3/4" (LxBxD). Deep enough for the obligatory Neutrik socket & Alps/Noble pot!
augustineRS 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 was just tidying up my room and this qns comes to my mind. How u guys keep/protect the tins? I mean they do rust over time and prone to knocks too.
Sipher 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2004 the patchi is very nice!
N@Z 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2004 It's marginally 4x bigger than the normal mint tins so an RA-1 clone with all the acoutriments can fit in nicely!
N@Z 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2004 Latest acquisitions! The Snoopy (Top) & Charlie Brown (bottom) Mint tins are pretty rare.
