ckng 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 IEMs + Aircraft adaptor + DAP or inflight system really helps to remove most of the aircraft noise. I always use it on my trips. Regards CK
heady 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2006 IEMs + Aircraft adaptor + DAP or inflight system really helps to remove most of the aircraft noise. I always use it on my trips. Regards CK On my recent trip to Jakarta on Lufthansa, I got upgraded to business class and tried their supplied Senns noise cancelling headphones on board. These things really work for the engine noise, the low rumble just disappears. The higher frequency sound like the air rushing pass the aircraft still gets thru the headphones. These are open headphones, not sure what model as not stated. My modded iem CK7 doesn't provide as much isolation from engine noise as the Senns. So, if you can't sleep on planes, active noise cancelling phones do work. The Sony IEM with noise cancelling must be great for flights.
