Wortel 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2003 (edited) Tell us what CDs you purchased lately. Good or bad we wanna know about it. Give us a quick review. (post the album cover too if you can) I've started you off. I don't want this to be a disscussion thread just for 1 post reviews thats all If you dont post a review I'd like the post to be deleted. Keeps it cleaner This should turn out quite nice Evanescence - Fallen I enjoyed the female vocals of Amy Lee she has a great voice. They use piano and strings in some of their songs sounds quite good. I enjoyed heaps. Favorite track 6 - Tourniquet. Bring me to life is their most popular track but cannot be a judge to the rest of the music on the CD most of it is less rock like. adhoc 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2003 the cardigans - long gone before daylight. IMO her voice is simply tops. this album has drawn some flak because it detracts from the original feel of their previous albums. but since my opinion is untainted by having listened to their previous albums, IMO this is a great album. stylewise, think a female version coldplay - a rush of blood to the head. a lyrically excellent album. Left Me For Dead 5. I'm Not Driving Anymore 6. Clubbed To Death (Kurayamino Variation)   7. There's Only Me   8. Instrumental   9. Nothing At All   10. Born Yesterday   11. Speed Me Towards Death   12. Drinking Song   13. Pause   14. One And The Same (Coda) Just got this CD this afternoon. it has strong beats with orchestral backing, if i quote "Matrix Reloaded" u'll understand... "Furious Angels", "I'm Not Driving Anymore" & "Clubbed to Death" are the tracks that appeared as background music for Matrix (Reloaded)... i find it overall quite a mixed bag, probably because there's a purely classical track, "Instrumental", that sticks out from the rest. Personally doesn't feel that his voice mixes well with the music, sounds like someone trying to sing along while Matrix is showing... PS: there's a re-release of the enchanced version, which is a 2-CD set. The 2nd disc is the instrumental version of all the tracks in original album. I think that's a better buy. release date in UK: 4th Aug. in SG: -i don't know- Edited July 30, 2003 by cyuxiang
