Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2007 What is the best way to send money to indonesia for my maid? Anyone?
nofing 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2007 Remit it back. There're many such remittance agencies at lucky plaza. You pay then a small fee each time you remit money back. It's usually quite safe and reliable. My family maid does that too but she's a Filipino.

radioactive28 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2007 Depends on what service you're using at the post office, Western Union charges fixed amounts by tiers, I believe, whereas foreign money order charges by percentage of remitted amount. Got to ask a bit...
loop_ 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2007 (edited) the remittance shops like the ones in lucky plaza should be the best since i see alot of foreigners themselves using the services. Edited July 20, 2007 by loop_

heady 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2007 If the maids send money, they get charged less for the service than for others. That's what my maids over the years told me.
Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2007 But are the services at Lucky plaza reliable?
heady 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2007 Reliable? I think so, haven't heard a complaint from any of my maids in the past except some were slow. Ask your maid to ask around. Get the views of the end-users.
