Where can i get ipod lod besides crossroads?

Dont want to have a 3.5mm socket in the LOD, but rather DIY myself with cables soldered in myself.

Contacted AR but i didnt get a reply from them

Hey iewgnail,

I don't mind getting a few but any idea is it going to be hard soldering the wires on?

What's LOD?

anyway, i'm looking for a LOD with a 3.5mm socket in it. Anyone knows where I can get one?

Or anyone making it cause i'm totally clueless on soldering. I want to use it for my amp and one a 3.5mm - 3.5mm IC.

Thanks!

LOD = Line-Out Device.

The one you can get from crossroads @ jaben or can get via the above mentioned website. I think they have the 3.5mm socket one too.

Anyway, i'm going to order from there as well. If you want, can join in save shipping.

Does the LOD affects the sound quality? I guess it does right?

From the website, how much is 1 LOD with 3.5mm jack?

Thanks!

Ok, i saw it. $39.90 USD is expensive right?

any idea how much is Jaben selling the Crossroads?

Thanks!

the LOD will gives you a line-level output instead of headphone output.

a line-out will generally be better as it bypass the internal amp circuitry of the ipod.

the LOD is cheap. 2.10 only if you choose the DIY option.

the one with 3.5mm jack is pre-prepared.

cool beans~

post pictures when finished so we can all enjoy :)

if you need help (verbally), I can assist you for making ipod dock since i have made a few before.

i would suggest removing all the pins except 2,3,4 (ground, right, left) to minimize any interference and makes it a lot easier to work with...

you could leave pin 1 too if you want to ground/bridge to pin 2 (but i never do)

good luck!
