Recommend a gaming headphone!

ello all. I'm thinking of getting a pair of gaming headphones as i can't turn on my speakers when my parents are sleeping at night.. sleep.gif

 

I know nothing about headphones so i hope you guys can help me out.

1. What are the better brands out tehre?

2. Is there a particular place i can go to buy headphones?

3. Whats the price range for a decent pair of headphones?

1.brands? alot.. from sennheiser, beyerdynamic, sony, audio-technica wink.gif

2.hung brothers, sim lim sq, 3rd floor

3. what do you mean by decent? if what you mean is budget and ok sounding, say.. 100 and above?

 

what is your budget? that will help us to decide

Do you need closed or open. Earbuds, canal phones, circumaural, or full sized. Dynamic or electrostatic (wha?!) ok that last one was unnecessary. Want something with lot's of bass? Require built in mic?

hmm the HP-890 looks good. How is it compared to the senn HD-200?

 

My budget is around 100 + and im into competitive gaming so i hope to get some really decent ones.

 

I'll probably go down and buy them tommorow, so anything to say please hurry!

hp890 is open...

I think you might need closed headphone because sometimes the lan party are very noisy..

go for closed phone.

not sure of both the models.. haven't heard , can't help u

i have the hd200. they have decent sound quality and have quite good isolation.

i think bass is important in gaming right? well, hd200 is good in this area

Not really. You want clear sound so you can differentiate where your enemies are coming from for FPS games.
