TJUMPER78 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2008 finally..... my cardas!!!! *damn difficult to solder! hot ah! amazing improvement!! bass very well extended, dynamic, great mid range, etc.. etc.. etc^99 ! I LOVE HD650!! that is some great diy job! how did you solder the connectors? did you salvage the connectors and solder the wires directly to the pins? i am asking because some people just solder the new wires onto the stock cable right below the connectors, not getting the best result of recabling. TJUMPER78 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) there are connectors for sale on the net... check out headfi yes, i know that. i've built 7 senn cables using the cardas' senn connectors. but thank you for your help. i was just asking because the OP didnt show the third party connectors on his 'preparation' picture. those connectors look a lot better than the cardas senn connectors. the cardas connectors are bi*ch to solder. where can i find those connectors? does neo chen sell those connectors? how can i get in touch with him(or it if it's a company)? thanks for your help. XProfessionalX 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 The connectors seems really difficult to solder..
TJUMPER78 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 The connectors seems really difficult to solder.. gotta be a lot easier compared to these buggers made by cardas. theres hardly any space to work with, if you make a slight mistake, the area around the pins gets melted by the soldering iron.
