vulpix 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2003 Since I'm poor as hell now after getting a new NetMD, my question are: A) Is it able to isolate fairly well? Not as in Shure/Etymotic well, but just enough to be able to listen on a air-conditiond Super Bus without having to jack up the volume really high. How does it perform in the voice area? While I like booms, I think voices are more important to me. C) Should I get it for metal music?
adhoc 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2003 A) decently. superbus is ok, normal non-aricon double decker is bad if you're sitting at the bottom. not so good. you'd better hope your netmd has a adjustable equaliser, voices sound slightly recessed otherwise. C) in a word, NO. guitars lose their 'sparkliness' on the px200.

Rameish 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2003 Isolation isn't as good as the Sony V6/7056. Sound wise they are on par - different but on par. Portable wise the Senn are smaller. The Sony's fold up too.
N@Z 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2003 A) My aircon at home is really noisy, I can still hear it at my normal listening level. Vocals sound fairly forward. Soundwise I find it less brighter than the 7506. The bass is quite good but the Sony has a 'bigger' sound. I prefer them to the Eggos in terms of balance of sound but the Eggos have better 'air'. C) I think it's fine with Metal/electronic music, less so on acoustic material.
