hydrazine_ 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2008 (edited) Hi, Newbie here. Looking for headphones mainly for gaming, and occasionally for movies. Budget of around $100, <$150. I read around the net and have heard about jaben and stereo electronics as the places to go for audition. Any Suggestions on which headphones and what to looking out for? hydrazine_ 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2008 ATH-A900 is way over my budget at $200++. Will be looking at the ATH-A500 and A700 instead. Saw many good reviews on them

eawtan 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I personally don't think you'll need an extremely good headphone (hp) for gaming and/or movies. A simple cheapo set will do, unless u are also into music, then the music hp can double up for gaming/movies. I would avoid all "gaming", "movie" labelled hp ... hydrazine_ 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Thanks for all the advice guys. I got my ATH-A500 and have been using it for a month now. I think its a decent entry point for anybody looking to upgrade from cheapo headphones. Together with my newly bought X-fi Titanium soundcard, i can heard a world of a difference from my previous $20 cheapo headphones + Onboard Sound.
