Headphones for gaming

Recommended Posts

Hi, Newbie here. Looking for headphones mainly for gaming, and occasionally for movies. Budget of around $100, <$150. I read around the net and have heard about jaben and stereo electronics as the places to go for audition.

Any Suggestions on which headphones and what to looking out for?

I like ATH-A900 for gaming and movie, it's a little above your budget, but worth it.

I personally don't think you'll need an extremely good headphone (hp) for gaming and/or movies. A simple cheapo set will do, unless u are also into music, then the music hp can double up for gaming/movies.

I would avoid all "gaming", "movie" labelled hp ...

Thanks for all the advice guys. I got my ATH-A500 and have been using it for a month now. I think its a decent entry point for anybody looking to upgrade from cheapo headphones. Together with my newly bought X-fi Titanium soundcard, i can heard a world of a difference from my previous $20 cheapo headphones + Onboard Sound.
