really looks quite awful to me. no offense.

so general advise is to get a soundcard to replace the onboard 1 instead of buying a DAC? after reading a few threads i i see the Juli@ and M-Audio soundcard and fubar II DAC being highly rated.. not able to check out the prices online.. any1 can give me a rough idea of how much are they? i understand jaben have juli@ and fubar.. how much are they selling it? where can i get the M-audio at what price? TIA..

want to improve the sound quality of my pc.. mainly listening to mp3 and cds. using phillips 895, koss ksc75 and altec lansing 2.1 speakers as outputs.. with a budget of about $180. no need any microphone inputs. was thinking of 1) creative x mod 2) creative audigy 4 pro having a remote is a good plus for me. using an on board soundcard. what should i get? 2nd hand also dont mind.

now as i am testing my earphones.. the sound is even more obvious.. it affects the music output now.. which totally sucks.. any soundcard with budget about $100 to recommend?

i am experiencing similiar problems as well.. i keep hearing zzzzz sound.. dont know y is it like that.. definitely not my headphones or speakers cos all of them have the same sound coming out.. and i tried my headphones on another laptop.. no such problem..
