That basically means your laptop has no digital out. i.e. if you want to have digital out u need another soundcard, or in the case of a laptop, an external soundcard that plugs to your laptop thru usb and has digital out be it coaxial or digital.

Don't worry, it'll be a good buy, untill ungraditis hits you again, then you'll start looking for all sorts of excuses as to why this was a bad buy...

Just bought it this afternoon.. Glad I made the jump cause i was initially sceptical about all e reports re the lack of bass... Not really the case for me, the bass was tight and clearly placed, unlike my MS-1s where it was just thumping along, for the K501, it's pretty obvious where the drums were placed, seperation and soundstaging was really top notch.... My conclusion: just grab them before they run out....

Damn good price, esp considering 2nd hand on most sg sites selling for more than that. Sold my ipod vid recently cause i was thinking of getting the nano instead which i have given to my gf. Good thing i did cause i managed to sell at a profit(bought 2nd hand at $350 and auctioned off for $410 after 2mths usage).

Yeah the M85D is pretty good. But no point in the sales... SLS already have a few shops retailing it at $99 like videopro...

Could have used those foam that comes with certain PC parts like motherboard as a buffer to seperate it... buy new one waste money only...
