My own theory. I found out that my ear A weighted filter is very good. When music is louder, background noise become insignificant. So when a grade change in amp, very few difference. Doesn't include tube. I also done a frequency test. I can hear up to 19.5kHz sine tone. If you turn it too loud, it's very pain to the ear.

Maybe you can buy the cap there. Why discount ahh, issit b'cos ?

Some people have different taste of purchasing items. From no amp to Cmoy2, there is a huge difference. From Cmoy 2 to PPA. Small difference. PPA to $10k amp. Can't hear difference liao. If you're particular about spending little money and listen to a huge difference, then you would definately get a cheap amp.

The 4556 are IC's that have higher current capability. It's one of the favourites during the good old days and nowadays. Too bad we seldom uses this IC here.

The best setting with X-fi is to on the 24 bit crystalizer @ 100% and the other all off. It sorts of bring out the sound even more. More timber in it. Awwman, I don't think can sleep tonight... Continue listening....
