  1. I got IM716 but never have chance to listen C700... sorry.
  2. if you can get Atrios, maybe it is the safe bet fom what I read. But if you want to have IM716, try mod it with kimawe 27ohm... SQ better than unmodded with better bass response as well...
  3. Geez... it is absolutely a bargain... Thx for ur effort mouz.....
  4. hmm... KSC75 modded and recabled is hard to beat by the IEM with the same value...
  5. Geez... the panels looks nice... now just need a finishing touch.... Actually even the clear acrylics... the looks is not bad at all.... The wording looks really tidy and nice design as well...
  6. I'm sure that this project not only take quite a bit of ur time, but actually it takes alot if you sum up the time that you use to think about this as well... THanks so much mouz....
  7. mylar XB? However I like my IM716 modded for dance though...
  8. Very nice... Looking at that... Guys, how about if possible to use clear, and have paint or whatever done to other part except the wording so that when the switch is on, than the LED will lit the wording from inside. By doing so, no need to have hole for the LED.... like the mobile phone key pad.... will looks nice especially at night...lol. Just some crazy idea..... And for the scratch protection, the clear coat like for modelling or even the car paint is one of the idea... apart from that, we can easily apply a plastic protector... like some plastic protector for the mobile screen or the Ipod. Than this plastic will be easily replaced once it got a lot of scratch. The downside of clear coat is just when it get scratch, you have to re-paint it. And also, it will looks glossy... I guess that what you guys want to avoid....
  9. nice design... simple, clean but looks profesional build..... n the most important.... its the trade mark of the effort made by Sgheadphones community....
  10. 40US + shipping can endup 50US.... dunno if it still worth since it means, the casing itself might be more expensive than the board, but of course it will looks pro builded..... But frankly... the mini3 thread here getting more interesting day by day....
  11. Hi Guys.... Pardon me if I don't know the situation of this panel, just sharing different thought of how to make casing of this mini3 looks nice.... and I'm thinking of if we cannot get the front and back pannel engraved as those one, how about if we just use the plastick pannel come with hammond, drilled it accordingly to the requirement without engrave, and to make it nice, just have a plate of alumnium (very thin one), engraved it with beautiful font... and place it on the top of the casing (black hammond will looks better).... I think this will makes more minimalist on the front panel and also decorate the top part of the hammond casing (which I like it). you can use those plate to tell "in", "out" which you can put it in the very end of the plate and line up vertically with the corresponding item... Just thinking of an idea... actually I'm agreed on the pre-drilled panel since that's very difficult without proper tool.
  12. hmmm.... Actually, what I like is more like, if I seat in a performance choir or orchestra, I always prefer to sit in middle row to front row, instead of middle to back row... is this the meaning that I like forward sound instead of laid back?
  13. Just wondering how does it sound pimeta with OPA637 and Buf 634 compare to high performance Mini3..... Does anybody know? And does pimeta or mini3 have synergy with my IM716 and HD595 ?
  14. Guys, just wondering if you can recommend me porty amp mostly will be used with IM716, but sometime at home will be used with HD595 as well. Budget let say around US$ 100. I not really care whether it is DIY or comercial as long as it does sounds good, and portable and fit my budget it would be great. Thx guys.
  15. If you are asking about what if you lose if you choose IEM over Headphone... I'm thinking of the SQ is different. The Headphone will sound fuller and big IMO. While if you want to get the same SQ for IEM, you should pay more money. However, I;m new to IEM too as my previous always full size, and don't believe that small things can sound good and choose to stick with my Ipod Earbud. But than, just coincidence found EC7 cheap...and it starts my portable rig advantures.... IEM for me have the advantage of the isolation and because of that... the sound is so intimate.... the detail is good normally. As for you... good clarity... I like my IM716. Modded... it have good, deep and texturize bass as well which is good for me, but for punchy... I doubt about this. Comfort will dependance on ur ear shape... I found good comfort using the fomies. Even the triflange I can use for 3-4 hrs straight....
