Just a quick update for Mobius owners, please remember to clean the connector pins. It really make a lot of difference. I just cleaned mine and it was day and night difference.

you can add it via your credit card

Anyway there is nothing much you can do now. I owned the Sugden Headmaster before and have tried connecting it to my PC before and it sounded terrible since i amplifed all the weakness. Budget for a nice CDP, a pair of nice interconnects and maybe a replacement cable for the HD650.

Some Quotes form this website http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/337/C2749/ The second product announced is the QUALIA 010 stereo headphones. These will become available on July 1st and are also handmade. The Q010-MDR1 uses the newly developed "nano-composite" oscillation board with a diameter 50mm range unit, a frequency response of 5Hz to 120kHz. This allows for playback of a wide range of sources including the SACD and DVD-Audio. On the buffle section, a porous cellulose structure that optimizes airflow is used, and it also eliminates unnecessary resonance. Also, a "6N-OFC" high-purity cord that remains 99.9999% oxygen-free is used. The cord has a 4-wick structure, which includes a wooden grounding line that separates the left and right channels from the input plug, and allows for minimalization of tone quality deterioration that occurs as a result of common impedance. Finally, oÂn the connector side of the headphones themselves, a LEMO-made plug is used, which allows for the retention of a stable touch-resistant electrical flow even when used for a long period of time. These are available in sizes small, medium and large and will have cable lengths of 5, 3.5, and 2m. The colors will be blue and black. They will also be available in the Tokyo and Osaka stores along with the MD player. I you happen to be in Tokyo or Osaka and have an extra $4100 to spare, stop in and get a new Q01-MD and Q010-MDR1.

Yah I wish you were here as well, but you were not... sigh... At least you are being paid to do this. Thanks for the kind offer.

What do you think? Try organising one.
-
Ya ya.. easy to say organise a meet, give advice, this and that. Everyone can say it. For the last meet some members couldn't even lift a finger to reply their name even given a month notice.

$200 will not get you a grado RA1. However you can get some one to build you a RA1 clone for that amount of money. What headphones are you using the RA1 with?

DT931 refurbished by Mackie, and recabled with Oehlbach cable for HD600 to give the sound more weight and to smoothen the top end. Asking for $250. Please PM me if you are interested. Cheap bargaining tactics will not be entertained and will be made know to all forum users. If you find the DT931 cheaper else where, please go ahead and buy from other seller. YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO BUY FROM ME! Thank you for reading

This thread is quite a good guide. http://www.sgheadphones.com/index.php?showtopic=1952

So I was correct... Hehe.. Although most other persons won't be able to get enough volume out of a low voltage gain amp for the K1000's. True I agree. Some people do use their earphones as earspeakers!
-
The AKG K1000 does justify its price of $1.1.5K. I do agree with Rameish that the K1000 does lack in the bottom end. However it can be easily forgiven with its airy and neutral presentation (IMHO). Could purchase the K1000 in the near future as a replacement for my DT931. Meanwhile, I am very satisfied with my HD600/650 with my new amp

bump for my 1st amp

BUMP for a excellent replacement cable for HD600/650

I have heard hasrsh sounding tube amps before. -
Not too sure what was the tube combination the other night, the music sounds pretty real with the Cayin. Rameish care to shed some light on that combination?
