haha its not too bad la but maybe for a pool player, its small cos to me, the pool balls and pocket are huge! Playing style slightly different only? Snooker requires more firm stance while pool is more relaxed? BTW, any idea where can I buy a 1/2 snooker cue with female joint at butt to accept a mini extension? If got demand, arrange a snooker gathering lor. I'm fine with one. I think cocobean is keen too?
  3. Just buy the players you like within your budget and field them. Simple as that! Formation is determined by the players you field. eg, 4 def, 3 mid and 3 striker will be 4-3-3. I just used my transfer wildcard. New thingy and all transfers are free in this week. Changed 5-6 players. Too bad this gameweek ending soon and only got 1 wildcard per season.

Ah icic. English shots is very difficult in snooker cos the distance can be huge and the pockets being smaller. 1/2 table distance still possible but full table, only the pros can do. I still cannot hit English shots successfully in snooker. Most of the time, I'll miss. Only those near ones can make it and still, its not a sure thing. Delibrate jumping in snooker is not permited during play. Its a foul shot. But I want to learn as I dunno and never jump before. I'll see if I'm successful or possible on a snooker table with a snooker cue. I don't even own a pool cue, let alone a jump cue. lol.

4X2? Extra shaft? BTW, I don't quite understand the need for an extra shaft. What for? Thanks for the tip for jumping. So I think its just like normal 'spider' shot in snooker. I think my spider bridge will not hurt me but I dun have a jump cue. Maybe use the 3/4 shaft of my snooker cue to practice. Will try it out the next time I play. I don't think I can listen to IEMs or headphones during play. Want to hear the cue contact and ball. Maybe we should but who is interested? Central area don't have good snooker halls liao I think? Snooker cum audio gathering?

    Westone ES2

Congrats on your new toy. But the feeling is sucky eh? So close yet so far. Can hold in your hands but have to send it back soon. You should Westone! How do you like the sound? Vs UM2, how is it?
  7. New ones have to buy from Electric avenues.com or ebay. Or you can try the new Go-vibe V5. Looks good and honeymoon impressions are very good from headfi. It should have more bass than LDM+ but less than PA2v2. http://www.electric-avenues.com/amplifiers.html http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=5379
  8. I want a CT820 too! But hard to get? Isn't listed in Panny's site? But I did not go look for it at the stores, so not sure.

haha Classic at Stadium. Super long time ago man. I also remember that place. Freezing cold, esp in the morning. I normally play at the Mechmaster beside it. Bigger and less people. Billy's at Paradiz is where I learn the game but sadly, close already and so is Pot Black where I taught my GF how to play pool. My eyes hurt when playing 'inside' the gas chamber. I did not observe the pool tables. I tot all same hieght? Slightly lower than snooker ones. Time to get a cue. Most players there uses their own. They have Mastercue there......those handmade ones from their Pro-Butt range. They got lots of cue lock there too. They even have personal ball lockers for you to store your own set of balls.
  10. I never heard those cables but I think your LDM+ is the bass killer. See if you can get hold of a PA2v2 and try them. Might be more suitable for you. I also find it to be the slightly better amp. Aron, your mail order service up or not yet? I want to try your cables too. Pls try to post pics of your cables.

Yeah I was there on Fri night but I think I reach there at about 11pm. I think we just missed each other. But its also hard to spot a friend there as its quite big unless you really keep a look out. If I'm there, I'm normally on 18 or 19. If taken, its 14 or 15. But these days, the 'inside' room is non smoking liao and the tables there are very good. Will try there in future. Sometimes, I'm in the VIP rooms. I play pool there less than 5 times. Snooker and chio bu don't go hand in hand la. Cannot mix, can get easily distracted and if playing number ball or got stakes, 'sorry about your wallet man!' Sometimes, I play with female friends and they wear those low cut ones, wah, must really concentrate like playing for broke! Thats why when I play in pubs against girls, I sure lose unless she really lousy or erm..... I know I sound like a buaya haha but really, non-players, wait till you face one. You'll see and understand.

Maybe one of these days, we can have a sgheadphones snooker meet. Where you normally play? These days, I go West Coast RC. Imagine wear headphones or IEMs and play! haha. Ooooo talk about pool! Poolfanatic? I'm really into it in back in 2003 but I cannot really remember the rules, lost interest after a year or so. I even almost bought a Fury for myself but I got one for my GF thou. Custom cues are really expensive considering they don't mean better performance. Lucasi play cue, Kangeroo jump-cue and break cue = 3X2 case? You know how to jump? Can teach? Got pointers? I dunno how to jump. Snooker players dunno how to jump one. I really long time never play. My hand (Area between the thumb and index finger) still ache a bit from griping my cue. Somemore my grip is loose, not tight at all.
  13. Don't bluff la! You're the top scorer! I choose the wrong captian. What you saw was the provincial scores, not final. Final scores includes bonus points. Dun ask me how to get or cal them. I dun know! Scores updated liao: Top 3 scorers for week 1: 1. Theatre Of Dreams - 70 2. afbug athletic - 60 3. 17FC - 58 League standings is the same as its only week one. Don't get dishearten aaron-xp, its a long long way to go. Even if you start/join a month late, you still can catch up. All it takes is for you to score highly for a few games. And take note everyone, mid week got games, so select your squad or make neccessary subs. BTW, got a new player: mineral water buddy?! Evian Vortex?
  14. Its a competition, not gambling. No one is betting on anything but contributing an amount for the prize for the winner. As long as no money is wagered on any team or player at any given time, its not gambling. But thats is only a suggestion for prizes and if want to implement it, have to be next season as this season start liao.
  15. Sadly, no rewards la and so few players. If can have 10 players, maybe each player can contribute $10 to play and the overall winner gets all or the top 3. I have a cheap Beyer DTX30 headphones. I'll give it to the overall winner at the end of the season. Don't get too excited. It ain't too great! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Hopfully, its condition is still good at the end of the season! IT IS STILL NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN!. 1-3 weeks difference isn'nt too great if you're good!
  16. So the 'fight' between your Shuffle and Zen Vision M was a blessing afterall.

Ok, I just come back from a few rounds of snooker. It is one of my hobbies althougth I don't play often these days. I always tend to get into stuff but cannot considered a hobby, maybe interest as they don't last long. eg, I was onced interested in photography, but my interested died after a while. Lucky I've not invested in a DSLR. To those interested to buy a cue here are somethings to take note and my personal cue's spec: Tip size: 9.6mm Butt size: 29.5mm Weight: 18.5Oz Shaft length: 43 inches Butt length: 14 inches with female joint for extensions like a short 6 inch one or a long 18 inch. These are my personal preference and of cause it doesn't apply to others but these are the points to take note of when buying a cue besides manufacturer preference. I'm not a pro player or good at all. People normally assume that personal cue owners are very good and that is a misconception or stereo type. Its a little like audio. You can use stock buds/house cue or higher end earphones/personal cue. But then, normally cue owners will have some standard la as buy already, don't use also wasted, so as they play/practice more, the better they become. BTW, my cue is a cheap one by Mastercue. Can't afford a John Parris.
  18. Heady, if you're a newbie, I dunno what I am. Thanks for taking time to advise me on some of those DIY stuffs to me.
  19. lol. This band you also listen? I thought I'm the only one and completely forgotten about them. After I saw your post, the words 'Moon Safari' rang a bell and I remembered that I've the disc but forgotten where I kept it. After searching high and low for the past 2 days, I found it. Sexy boy ah!
  20. Welcome fellow devil! Got 6 teams already. 8-10 will be nice. alf amateur squad Purple Scissors afbug athletic 17FC Arsenal Armed Force Theatre Of Dreams Wah liew.....AAF? haha. Why not Arty? For first timers: This is not those 'hands on' games like console games etc. Its more like a strategy game, a little like the CM series where you select players and the PC will determine the outcome. In this game, the result or scores will be determined by those players you selected and their performance over the weekend. So its a very easy and relax game. You simply field the players you like and hope they perform over the weekend's games. Formation is determined by the players you field. I believe you already selected those players and to change them from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3, just take off a midfielder and sub in your striker. It doen't really matter if the player is left sided or whatever, so its possible to have all 4 left backs. As long as they perform, you'll score points. eg, if your strikers score goals and defenders kept clean sheets, then you'll score big time! Once the season starts, you'll see the league table and those points really count! You can read more about scoring points and others at the right hand side control panel under 'help'. Once the season starts, I'll try to update here the weekend top scorer and top 3 league position changes.
  21. Haha icic....me too! Let me do some shameless promoting..... http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=5478 When you visit Aron, you can see the difference between those tips. Foams are generally more confortable but don't last long. Rubber ones last longer but might not be as comfortable.
  22. You serious ah? I thought you say for fun only. lol. It will be only a partial recable leh. Any improvements in sound is really quite subjective but I'll to listen to it for myself first. Or you just want a single longer cable? And you sure you want Turbo? Yellow colour? His IC is one of the most flexible among ICs but for a earphone cable, I think its a little too stiff? It will look like curly fries after you coil them up. The plugs used are also a concern, esp the female one. Too big, it will look ugly and bulky like the Canare one in the pic. I think Neutriks are the smallest? Your RnB switchcraft is also big but durable. Those cables from Moon Audio, RnB and Audiolineout looks too stiff and big. Unless you get ALO's braided ones but I think he uses Canare's plugs as in the pic above. That cable is from ALO. I do not intend to change because of those concerns I highlighted above but if can find a suitable cable, I'll be tempted. And lastly price is a concern as a short IC can cost so much, a 1.2m one will not be cheap. Unless, go SLT and DIY a cheap cable. BTW, if he replies with a quote, pls let me know. Thanks. But I think wait till I get my set first.
  23. I think 616 is based on the ER6i while the 716 is based on 4P. MO? Also dunno got one person interested or not and you guys talking about MO? I'm not buying thats for sure. Too many earphones. I post this for those who're in the market for a value for $$$ earphone.
  24. Theatre Of Dreams = Old Trafford? You can try Shure E2 foam tips. Might work better. They come in 3 sizes and if you're using M size on Cresyn/Creative, the M size foam will probably fit. BTW, what is a metal-netted canare? I also got a new IC recently. Ordered with replay. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Its a Turbo mini, pictured with a Shuffle and Go-vibe V3 as it looks better. I normally use it with a Discman.
  25. Spot this link at headfi. US$55 isn't too much and plus vpost shipping, it should cost approx SGD$110. I think its the cheapest IEM liao. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BKBZG...3239215?ie=UTF8 iM716 is here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BKE8Q...glance&n=172282
