What i do know is that this model HN-060 from Philips has two versions, new and old. Looks and packaging is slightly different but sleeves used is completely different. The old version's sleeves is kinda like the triple flange and on the new one they change it to the normal sleeves Sony and Panasonic is using. Ok, based on customers who purchased both of them, the new version has better isolation and comfort. And i suspect the reason why they changed the sleeves is because philips had problems providing the sleeves( dun keep stocks?) when customers wanted to purchase replacements. So the new version should be better. As for sound, it didn't leave a deep impression on me. But based on noise-cancelling usage, its worth the money.

No ETA for the amp but I would say around mid november maybe. Auditioning the Grado RA-1 side by side is no problem. We dun't have any difficult cans on demo yet, but Sennheiser will be sponsoring some cans by early year 2006 after our renovation and by then we should have some beyers to test too. Diy is a good idea, will look into it if someone is willing to teach..... and a lot of blood to spare. idkfa, have you tried the Triangle headphone amplifier? Need your expert opinion.

Dun worry idkfa, I understand.... if this amp really sucks then everyone should know about it rather then having customers complaining after their purchase, bad for my reputation. The AT look alike Saiyo earphones are for MP3 players only because they come with the neck strap which the user have to hang their device around the chest. And yes, the look alike ratings are 9/10
