  1. So far, Japanese CD pressing never disappoint me. U really can notice a great difference in term of everything. I think they are very good & that's why its expensive.
  2. Teclast DAP - Does it have high storage model ? I can't find 20G & above from their site. How is iAudio sound as compare to Iriver ? Are they using the same DA processor ? Haven't really heard before. Thanks.
  3. Which player would u all choose to upgrade from the H340 for better SQ ? Look like not much choices at all.
  4. Really appreciate that but I had already placed an order for a SMIV, now still waiting..... . After that, maybe wanted to upgrade my headphone.......but see how first.
  5. Anyway, I had never heard an Iaudio before. But as wat I hope to hear when an portable amp is used, its the wholesome & fullness of each tone & rhyme.
  6. Anyway, I think the waiting should be worthwhile. I think maybe can get mine faster as wat I read from Xin's forum that no more development for SMIV at the time being. I think by looking at the price of the DAP, u should be able to tell. Currently quite a lot of low end cheap China brands in the market. Some of them never heard before. I feel that popular brand like Apple, Iriver. Iaudio & etc should be consider high end brand.
  7. Should let me know earlier. I got it at the basement of SLT as recommended by the shop owner. Get to know this shop through my friend. These are the new model as wat I was told. Get 2 to try out first before getting more for my SMIV ( still waiting ). I think I can trust Sanyo as it made in Japan. MAHA is better than Sanyo ? Let me check out.
  8. Just got myself 2 AAA rechargable from SLT : Price - 10 Bucks.
  9. Do note that high sensitivity & low resistance headphone or earphone is not really necessary to get a portable amp to drive them as your DAP had sufficient power to drive them. I would said if u are using a higher end DAP & phone, in order to get the utimate sound. U definitely need a portable amp to drive them. I feel that the sound will be much much better even no doubt I never own or listen to a portable amp before. Currently still waiting for my SMIV.
  10. Sorry, I don't quite understand why your one only last 4 hour. As wat I see, u are using a portable amp. Your source volume only need to set to 15 ( using Iriver Firmware ). Your portable amp volume should be able to blast your earphone. Am I right ?
  11. Wow 20 hr ? Mine only last for the most 6 hours with volume set at 23 as I am using a headphone. Where did u upgrade your battery ? U mean that the stock battery of the H340 is not 2200mah ?
  12. Oh, really forget about the reset button. But find that the rockbox display really suck so I changed back to the Iriver Firmware. Another thing is the rockbox software is not user friendly no doubt that its operate faster than the Iriver firmware. Talking about H340, do you use the external battery pack ? Using my H340 for 1.5 years but really don't know what is really the purpose of this external battery pack. I did try to use it but u need to disconnect the battery pack if not using the DAP or else its will drain off your H340 battery. Really find it very troublesome. Please read below for Iriver H340 rockbox software installation instruction : http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main...river_jukeboxes Just follow & you can't really go wrong........
  13. Just be careful. That time I rockbox my H340 & the player hang after accidentally pressing something. Not even able to off the power. Luckily, its power off till battery was drained off. Check the player & found that its still ok after fully charged again. Note that warranty is not cover if something happened to your DAP after using rockbox.
  14. The service centre : Electronics and Engineering Pte Ltd 285 Outram Road Singapore 169069 Phone: [65] 6223 5873 If your item is less than 6 months, maybe still can be under warranty. Can call them up to check the price ?
  15. Small to me looked fragile. I had my E2C for just less than 3 months giving me intermittent sound off & on problem on one side. Luckily it's still under warranty. Sent back to the service centre, they rewired my earphone for me. Anyway, had already sold it lately.
  16. There are even more expensive one. But a headphone sound will win over an IEM sound if u don't mind portability. IEM looks fragile to me.
  17. Quite a detail review by someone from head-fi on E500. http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showpost.ph...788&postcount=1 Pleasure reading.
  18. Ever post in Yahoo but no response. Infact there was 2 but luckily never shipped out. O.k. I will try to post it here later but really don't know how much can I get back. I would rather sell it to someone who can appreciate this player than to trade in at cash convertor. I see how they displayed the 2nd hand md player like no man business.....
  19. Yes, I think so as stated by their website but I haven't really try removing before.
  20. Below is the picture of K81 : I think the reason why u hurt is no padding on the headband as what I can see its full plastic. I have been using my Senn HD280Pro for more than a year & do not feel pain but my headband is plastic covered with rubber. Maybe u can try it ?
  21. True, I think MD is still quite popular in other countries like State & Europe. But u will definitely need to record your songs from cd or other sources as I doubt there is any original software available here. I can't find the reason of recording to a blank minidisc ( u need to buy ) as compared to a mp3 player which is so much cheaper & convenient. Anyway still trying to get rid of my md recording player. Regards.
  22. Does charger matter ? I am using GP charger & batteries. Will I get the performance of the other brands of rechargable batteries by using my GP charger to charge. Is it o.k to mix different brands of rechargable batteries together in one use ? Is it true that the higher the AH of the rechargable battery, the longer is the usage ? Thanks in advance.
  23. I have a Sony MZ-R900DPC. If u wanted to buy it, I can sell it to you. Its in my storeroom. Price negotiable. I think MD market is dead in Singapore. There is no shop selling original artist mds anymore. Couple of years ago still can see them at HMV but the price is really expensive & its not really worth it. So I believed most of your mds are recorded from cd etc ? It true that md sound is better than cd but if there is no demand, then there wil be no new technology. I find it no point investing in something which is as good as dead in Singapore unlike LP. The choice is yours.
  24. Look like most of the members here are guys. Girls are mostly into dress + makeup. I doubt they are really into SQ. Maybe a cute nice earphone will suit them.
  25. Yeah, I think that is the word to describe it. And to get the full potential of a headphone, u will definitely need a portable amp.
