  1. well... maybe my tracks is not bassy nuff to bring out the extra bass in 5eb...
  2. it not any fault. um1 is a very sensitive IEM so it normal...
  3. haha... m16 also out now... now is SAR21 we are showing we care of the nation... that will be over his budget...
  4. not really... i find the bass not as heavy as um2. i have 1 5eb at home now... im716 is hard or pain for ppl to get the seal and a little harder to drive. other than that coming from e2, 1 may find it a recess in mid, lack of warm... but more detail and better treble... <$200 price range for warm sound, sf3 is the one...
  5. if you find E2 not enuff bass, um1 think won't suits you. try sf3, um2, sf5eb...
  6. yup. do try im716, um1, er6i, ck7, ck9... these are the truly good IEM their price range...
  7. .38 S&W with lazer pointer is a new rovolver bought in a few years ago. only spf officials using it. btw, new .22 revolver is coming in. i shoot the new .22 tarus and s&w few weeks ago. very nice feel and barrel can hole 10 bullets... cool
  8. Cadet level .22 Instructor level .38 as the police using wothout laserpointer.
  9. both provide good isolation. far better than SF series... buying earphones and headphone isn't about better buy. it about sound quality within your allowed budget... Pls... you need to remember this... All IEM is more than enough to provide isolation from buses, train and airplane ride. and believe it anot, i wore im716 for .38 revolver shoot at hta...
  10. yup... somehow i still prefer the sound from single driver... haven heard of the triple driver yet... IC... thought you are going to get it for traveling purpose...
  11. think ck9 and im716 is the most value for $ IEM... ck9 is a slightly less detail E4 and im716 is a slightly less detail Er4p in HD mode...
  12. nope... er4 must go jaben. get p is better... den get p-s converter...
  13. u mean ck9? ck9 is a warm IEM. er4 is a analytical IEM so it different
  14. Some pictures for you guys to see 1st. CK9 in it case CK9 Driver CK9 in my ear. It does not seat like the UMs Comparison to SF5pro with FS mod Design and Cord On the first look and from the picture from AT, it look like the CK9 is wore the same style as um1 or um2. But no. On the picture, you can see the CK9 is not seating in my ear. But CK9 is even more comfy than um1. The wire is rough and thick which is a let down to me... the thick wire causes microphonic which is more than im716 wearing aka shure style. The wire also tend to cure up itself. it never seems to be straighten. How i wish AT use CK7 wire on CK9. The noozle is big. it almost same size as E2 but smaller than UE SF series. i'll do some moding so i can try to use SF biflange when i got mine. Some people complain it hard to get the fit with CK9 but it not the case for me. just pop in and there my musics goes. Case is over in shape. Similar to Westone case but much smaller. There is 2 pocket in the case. Devices Used For Testing ipod Nano 1st Generation with rockbox Line Out Dock DIY Canare cable with L shape Neutrik Plug GoVibe V5 iM716 Bass Mode CK9 SF5pro Sound Wow. For it price, it will give um1, d-jays, e2, e3 a run money. it very warm sound. much more than um1 and um2. Soundstage is there. It much more than im716. Bass Very rich and natural. It produce much less impact compare to im716 Bass mode. But it can be eq to a pretty heavy level without distortion. It had a good extension but slightly less than SF5pro Mid Very rich, creamy, warm and smooth. It reminds me of E4. And from my memory, E4 even lose out in warmth as compared. Details is slightly lacking compare to im716 here, but more than that of SF5pro. I used to think im716 was warmer than SF5pro and now CK9 was so much warmer than iM716 so go figure out Treble Treble might be the weakness of CK9. There seems to be roll off at the Hi-mid region. But CK9 still extend much futher than the UMs in my opinion. Round Off ck9 is a very musical IEM. The sound is very smooth and fun. Normally I would consider very long to decide should I buy a earphones but ck9, without thinking i wanted to buy it. It'll replace my iM716 for casual listening. For it price, it really hard to resist. I preordered a black colour set. Now waiting till 1st week of dec for my CK9 to arrive. Can't wait for it. Well Done AT for it 1st IEM
  15. ok... actually i thought of starting a thread on my 1st impression but since you asked here, i'll ans here.... all my comparison for im716 is on bass mode. ipod nano rockbox, custom DIY Canare IC and GOvive v5 compare to ck9, ck9 bass is less prominent. im716 bass had a much greater impact and im716 is a faster phones to my ears... but im716 bass can't be eq too much. distortion will easily settle in if eq is a little too much. But ck9 bass is really clean and can eq to a heavy level without distortion. mid part, ck9 wins totally hands down on warmth. it just so warmth for me. i love it. think only E4 can be compare. im716 feel recess in this area. about the details, im716 will win by a small margin. treble part is the weak point of ck9... it doesn't extend far as compare to im716 or sf5pro. but still far better than um1, um2, d-jays. overall, i think ck9 is a very value for $ IEM... not that i do not like im716. both is good to my ear. i'll rotate both for different uses. effectively, i'm have 3 different IEM in hand. im716 HD, im716 Bass and ck9.
  16. CK9 is great... very warm sounding... btw, i have preorder... can't wait to get it... oops... saw my name... well, after trying out ck7, my im716 mid sounds lay back... i love the warm sound of ck9... i find it warmer than um2, sf5pro. it not as detail as im176 but more than um2 and sf5pro. you getting it? i'm dieing for it... fit was easy on my ear and it so comfy... but the cable is bad...

    AL IM716!

that is fairly cheap... my set from amazon cost me $150... think it about time to get 2nd set of im716.. but before that, i wanna try ck9...
  18. not very sure but i tried using alkaline before and the performance is not much worst or better than rechargerble
  19. i think most people which start getting into audio, will start to have a good balance between bass and treble... only few will be basshead...
  20. IEM need to be used after sometime before 1 will fall in love with in... mental burn in will set in after about a week of usage...
  21. e200 rockbox is on the way and should be out by end of the year if the speed of development remain the same. ipod 2nd Gen do not support rockbox as of yet. developers is still working on it...
  22. sf5pro is good as in the bass really can eq it to a heavy level and it still does not sound muddy... at least to me. Don't think Zeph is going to side grade. To me, i prefer E4 and im716 whereas my dad only like sf5pro so music is a really personal things... according to my h10 setup and current nano setup, and maybe the songs i'm listening to, Go-Vibe do not synergise as well as pa2v2. But i also feel pa2v2 lose out in warmth as compare to crossroad so really synergy here and your listening preference the one affecting ones decision..
  23. yes. you can. iTune will still pop up. But you can choose to add songs by drag and drop. if you use iTune to put music in still, you will have to change the rockbox file viewing structure by IDtag which you will read more in the rockbox manual about how to do it. on my ipod nano, i really like the sound. but ipod 3g is known to have a headphone out bass roll off so how good it is compare to others, i do not know...
  24. whoo... think i will go UE5pro if i were to go custom...
  25. it was design to be wear straight down... but i wear it ala shure way...
