  1. This site also sells the SOHA PCBs, usd18 for 2: http://www.assemblycraft.com/
  2. This looks cool. Is there a retail shop I can find it, or have to get it on-line? The price seems to be in USD on the website?
  3. How do you store your cans' cables after use? My DT990's cable is quite long and I usually just wind it in a zig-zag manner (kind of like how it came when new) and put it back in the carrying case. Any good ways from other forummers?
  4. Not expert nor guru, but I'm using a Taiwanese "fluke clone" from Sim Lim. Works well, lasted for over 10 years already.
  5. Just to add on, you can possibly eliminate the hum by using DC powered heaters/filaments and I cant tell from your picts if you have done that. Found another thread with DC heaters and feedback on thos board: http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?show...c=493
  6. Hi, I'm also using a DIY tube headphone amp based on the MJ design, however, I'm using the output from my preamp to drive the WCF pair of 5687s (instead of 6922). I'm using a Beyer 990, which is 250ohms and it absolutely rocks (like what you experienced). But for low Z cans, like Grados, you will probably get better results if you include some kind of negative feedback, I don't think it's the cans fault. The 6922s does not have enough drive for the low Z, thus some amount of negative feedback would aid considerably. And if you make one which is adjustable, then your amp can run many type of Z cans by tweaking the feedback!
