I had the the X3000 for bout three years, sold it for $800. Had the same tracking problem but the Sony Service Centre had them fixed & recalibrated for $50-60s.

Bought meself a pair limited edition custom-finished by Steinway in piano black monitor speakers, the ATC SCM-12 in Canada, hand carried all 40kg of it all the way back from Montreal. Flying off again to Manila and then HongKong tomorrow, and may be some more shopping in HongKong. Might just visit that one Headphone shop in MongKok in HK again. 2-weeks of minus 15 degrees with snow in Montreal is enough for me, but beautiful people are a plenty in Quebec. Merci

The Cayin HA-1A is still IMHO one of the best MIC tube headamps artrip up northound. Tried their newer SS HA-2A Headamp on my last trip up north - not too eciting, in fact sounded very bad if you AB it with the 1A.
