It all depends on your earphones/cans. I don't use my LDM+ anymore because it doesn't sound good with my Mylar3s. You should always try out the amp before making a decision.

I tried them out and I was pretty amazed by the good sound quality. It was definitely no Super.Fi 3, but it was definitely an EX90 sound signature, plus the activation of the noise cancelling did not degrade sound quality in a way that was recognisable. I'm quite tempted to get this since the price is pretty reasonable since it's the mp3 player plus the included noise canceling earphones, so anyone here wants to tell me what they think of it?

It's most important to try out earphones before buying... Almost bought the UM1 but bought the Super.fi 3 after listening to it. More suitable for my metal music.

Why no one considering the awesome Meizu M6?

Yep, I went to Woodlands to try the UM1 and compare it against the S.fi3. Overall the S.fi 3 had better highs which brought out the music and high vocals in the type of metal I listen to. Sorry UM1, you just didn't sound good enough for me.
