Problem with $100 budget is theres no dac tat cheap and good lol. Not very informed in this field maybe u see if someone can answer regarding dac. For soundcard I do know of some cheap one that are pretty good. It just somehow slip my mind. Anyone here knows the name?

umm use line out through an amp may make it sound better. IEM wise maybe a um1,e2c and host of other option

Just got the triple fi 10 pro today. Still a LE set with 447/1000. Build: Never a fan of UE design. I always felt they were a tard too bulky to use. The phones feels solid and metallic finish is no doubt nice.The earpiece are rounded unlike its superfi pro. I need to get better tip for the earphones though as somehow the tips dont fit my ear that well>.<. The cable is detachable and slightly thicker. Theres a short length of memory wire after the phones so u can hook it onto ur ear. Sound quality: Analytic and precise. Makes bad quality mp3 sound bad. Alot of details are revealed. Not exactly good if u listening music out of a mp3 with low quality files >.< Bass: Tight, not overwhelming. Right out of my zen vision it sounds weird though. Through the CDP/Amp it sounds controlled, tight and precise with impact. Compared to the UM2 I used last time though, the impact of the bass isnt as good though but im never a fan of bass so its pretty ok. Will continue on after I use the earphones longer. Using the w950i walkman series phone. Probably one of the better ones out there. Music is comparable to an mp3 player. The only thing is that when its changing tracks theres this crackling sound

I think he means driving it straight out the lineout without any modification to the music original volume. max volume to drive a 250ohm headphone lol

Heard the w800 and w850 series phones. w900i not yet lol. Tried nokia n91 too hmmp. Some pda phones add into the pack. Haven heard the samsung mp3 phones though mmm. Motorola a few of their E series and rokr. One thing abt nokia phones, they have a direct headphone jack which is kinda good. SQ is different but models have been getting better as time passed. Compared to the first few generation of expandable mem mp3 phones.

Actually after hearing some time. The biggest problem is between songs theres this crackle sound. Other then tat it pars almost an mp3 player. w950i compared to most other phone mp3 players are one step above though

Dual drivers are better at adding bass without the reduction in clarity. Owned a UM2 and its above the UM1 because of it. Then again I prefer my grado anyday though

If u ask if its overkill, not really lol. 5EB is made as a portable but solid bass IEM which mainly targets the MP3 player market. It probably has one of the heaviest bass but since I only listen to it once n never heard ex70 before cant really comment. Price of 5pros is in the mid 300 range alot higher then 5eb. Difference in version is the cable but i may be wrong.

Got the w950i walkman phone. Listen to it and compared to my zen vision this is what I felt. The bass feels slightly bloated and the music is kinda flat. This problems can be reduced by using an Amp. Hmmp still though better then most mp3 player phones. Hope there will be better software to listen music with as its the first walkman phone running on symbion and uiq3 Listen it through hornet amp and UM2. The Good point though: 4GB internal mem Video player with a gd screen. Sharp enough to see anime fan sub subtitles lol. Music on par with basic mp3 players The bad: Slow boot up Slow response PLENTY OF HISSING (Amp required!) **Edited Post as I didnt notice my hornet was runnign low leading to some misconception lol**

If its when the comp is on it maybe the soundcard. But since off also occur means the internal amp is the cause of the problem. U can try brining up to the manufacturer see if its normal

Its true that a Audio Line out can be both soft and loud. depends on voltage output level. Tested that on my CDP and it has a terribly loud line out lol. Regarding true lineout, Ipod doent have one but its still somehwat cleaner then the headphones out though

Yup I think the biggest problem with creative is not the quality of their product but the branding and design. The whole point in personal electronics is not whole can push the price the lowest with most function, but its the creation of the need for people to buy them may it be a form of personal enjoyment or status. Last time (doesnt apply now lol) when apple launch the IPod, it was marketted as the IN Thing. With a big brand + one of the better design in the market + absolutely brillaint marketing strats, they created the need in the ppl to want them as a player and to show off (if you look at MP3 players at that time, Ipod was a crazily overpriced hardware). Creative fails cause its marketting is pure bad and the design sure needs major improvement. The fact is most ppl out there have no idea what specs mean to them, what function such as mic, recording, radio means to them, but instead looks at the design, protability and does it fullfill their needs. I think if you give almost anyone a choice, Ipod video vs Zen Vision M, Ipod video will win hands down.

fabio84: UM1 and E2C have difference between then. On paper UM1 seems better. But some ppl say UM1 is a little muddy while E2C is more fun to listen too. Subjective on which is better.

Hmm I just use my amp and it goes away . Dont have much time this days to rectify the problem also lol. Ill test it for somemore time then will see how lol.

They turn yellowish. Most white stuff turns yellowish unless u really take good care of them lol. Just wiping them will be fine lol.
