Heh, I used to use Inspire T7900 7.1s with a 2ZS. The Inspire's bass could be very strong, but hardly what I could call 'good bass'. Could be that the X-fis extended the bass range down but your speakers are unable to produce it clearly.. I've sinced switched to an 0404, but before I switched fomr the 2ZS I started using my dads old bookshelves, so I don't know how well the 2ZS did bass compared to say, the 0404.

Well, the thing about my receiver is that when I plug in a pair of headphones, the speaker circuit doesn't switch off, hence if I got the LD2++, it would be to act as a pre-amp, as well as a direct headphone amp

So recently I PMed a seller in the classifieds section inquiring about the HA20 he was selling. But I guess my offer sorta irked him, and I didn't receive a reply. Anyway, what are the prices of the more popular budget (around.. $200 new?) head amps here? And where do I find them? Ideally the head amp should have RCA outs too, so amps like the CMOY or PA2V2 don't count I guess..

Does the LD2++ still have problems with the headphone out while the RCA outs are connected to another device?

Whats the speaker/headphones used? Could be just that you were mistaking high bass volume for detail previously.
