  1. Selling my Senn HD600, 1.5 years old, with box, stock cable. Hung Bros sell for $480 (according to prices thread), asking for $320. Auditions welcome for SERIOUS buyers.
  2. Tidus' analogy doesn't seem right either because lawyers shouldn't be saying things like that since from a legal standpoint, there's nothing wrong with selling a villa by insulting another villa, as long as it's discreetly to the client alone. Haha ok guys let's talk about mandopop for now.
  3. Got them not too long ago (when they first came out) from an online store with no return policy (anyway it's >30 days already), so have to sell them now because I don't use them enough, and I don't want to see them sitting on the shelf any longer. In mint condition, almost like brand new. Comes with manual, zipper case, 1 pair each of large and medium grey flex and white sleeves, and 1 pair of foam sleeves. No small sleeves since I experimented with them and they have been "destroyed". Price = SGD250, firm.
  4. Looking for a decent source (portable, or otherwise), with a budget of $350. Preferably for home use, although I won't reject vintage PCDPs . PM me details and asking price. Thank you.
  5. They look more like earphones than canalphones...
  6. Not that I know of it, unless it's 2nd hand. You can check them out here.
  7. You mean your ifp-390? Should be can drive, 63 ohms impedance only, easy to drive.
  8. The Beyer pads alone costed US$25 (abt S$45). No one interested?
  9. Test market. About 2 months old. Cannot find original pad, but beyer pad much better. S$160.
  10. Over at head-fi, the sony MDR-Ex71 is very seldom mentioned, not to say recommended. And whenever it's brought up, you get criticisms all over. Beats me, but I really wouldn't consider such a headphone that all the audiophile supremes slam. Going back to my mx500 & ksc-35...
  11. Where can I get the Senn HD497 phones? It's not in the "Headphone Prices locally " thread. Could someone add it in? Btw, issit portable?
  12. Pardon my ignorance, but what does MBD stand for, and where issit?
  13. Hope to see more votes! Please dun null vote lah, I will just use it as a reference, so I dun mind being misleaded a little. Ermmm...I believe my budget should stay at $100, max $120, so no Senn HD-600 for me (unless someone wanna sponsor me ). I think Grado-SR60 would be nice, but it is abit on the exp. side and not quite portable. Any comments? As for the meet, I dun think I would be able to attend, coz veri bz lately, and also for the rest of the year presumably. And I dun wanna meddle with those high-end phones lest my hands get itchy and thn burn a hole in my pocket . I guess a sub-$100 phone will do just fine. Cast your votes!
  14. After getting varied responses from the "Koss or Sony" thread, I have decided to come up with this poll to help me make my final decision. Any response would be greatly appreciated! As I said in the "Koss or Sony" thread: My budget is SGD$100. I usually listen to pop, like R&B, hip-hop, jazz, some (in fact very little currently) rock and metal stuff. I would be using the phones with my portable mp3-player as well as my cd-player at home. Design/style (ear/head or around the neck, etc.) is not so much of a concern as long as the phones sounds great and is comfortable. My criteria (1:most important, 6:relatively least important, but still important): 1. Sound quality (esp. bass and clarity) 2. Price 3. Comfort 4. Portablility 5. Design 6. Warranty Please comment on the reason for your choice, such as by giving accounts of your experience with the phones. Any other recommendations would be great too. Thanks in advance!
  15. Errmmm...Closed earphones stop sound from leaking out, but do they stop noise from leaking in as well? If tt's the case, I may want a closed one. Anyway I dun think I'll pay $50 for used earphones . Anyway still considering... Anything about the Koss Porta Pros? They seem quite popular on other forums. I tend to like headphones a little better because they dun make my ear feel bad...
  16. Hey Blues u didn't my question regarding the KSC-55. Is it closed? Neway I dun mind buying the ksc-35 from you if it is still in perfect condition and it's cheap (maybe $15...) . Would love to hear more opinions from the others before making a decision. Cheers!
  17. Hey Blues, I notice you have the KSC-35 in your signature. Do u have 'em? Anyway thanks for all your replies. I guess I would be going with either the Koss KSC-55 or Sennheiser PX200, but I am still open to suggestions. Btw, is the ksc-55 closed, does it leak sound? I think the ksc-55 would be great for its price, but is it comfortable and portable? I dun mind paying more, but there has to be a reasonable upgrade in sound quality and other properties. And I actually prefer clear sound, though being impactful is great too. Arrhhh... What a difficult choice. My criteria (1:most important, 6:relatively least important, but still important): 1. Sound quality (esp. bass and clarity) 2. Price 3. Comfort 4. Portablility 5. Design 6. Warranty Overall which seems a better deal?
  18. Thanks for the replies! I usually listen to pop, like R&B, hip-hop, jazz, some rock and metal stuff. I would be using the phones with my portable mp3-player as well as my cd-player at home. Design/style (ear/head or around the neck, etc.) is not so much of a concern as long as the phones sounds great and is comfortable. So can anyone make a specific recommendation, with comments on sound quality and comfortability? Which one would be most suitable for my needs? I hope to get a comparison from u experts so I can make a choice. Thanks! Perhaps you guys can rank the earphones mentioned above. My choice currently: 1. Koss KSC 35 2. Koss Porta Pro 3. Sony MRD-EX51 4. Sennheiser MX500 I am not too sure about the difference between KSC 35 and KSC 55 but I have only seen KSC 35 being mentioned on other forums, not so much of KSC 55, so can anyone describe their difference? And are there any other viable alternatives? Thanks in advance.
  19. Hi, absolute noob here. Juz wanna hear you guys' opinion on which phones to choose. I dun think I can afford anything >$100, so feel free to make any recommendations within that price range. Currently I am looking at the following: Koss ksc-35/55 (what's the diff.?) Koss porta pro Sony mrd-ex51/71 Any comments, as well as where I can buy it and for how much will be greatly appreciated. I prefer something comfortable, convenient and portable, though uncompromising in sound quality of course. Thanks in advance!
