x2 D2 has the best battery life i have seen in a DAP. You won't regret it.

Thanks for the info guyz, I have purchased my second-hand ipod video 60GB and have rockboxed it... the sound is warmer than the D2. May consider selling my D2 now... hehehe

50+GB of flac will take a while... means I have to look for a old ipod... not classic

I have a few thousand files that are flac and I dun want to use a apple format in case i decide to change back to cowon or iriver. Which means none of the ipods can be modded sigh. The reason why I want to move to ipod is becos of the line-out

I prefer the sound from the UM3. more neutral sounding with wider soundstage then SE530 but slightly less bass

you could go for the um2 or shure se210. these are mid range IEMs

listening to prodigy - breathe without amp - bass is slightly boomy, mids are smooth amp - lower bass is tighter and not so boomy, cannot feel any difference in the mids, slightly wider sound stage sarah brightman - time to say goodbye without amp - Sarah and Andrea's voice sounds so smooth amp - much smoother voices I would say there is a slight improvement in overall sound. Sorry dun know how to describe the sound I hear very well

I set the vol at 50 and 9 o'clock on the P51 with low gain The P51 is smaller than the d2. Its like the size of a matchbox but thicker The P51 is already very transparent to me, there is no added sound signature. It sounds very neutral

Its the best... I also own the D2 and I find the sound fantastic with great battery life
