Bought the um3x yesterday, initial response for the IEMs is... WOW Sound stage is fantastic, bass is poewrful but does not drown out the rest of the frequency. Highs and mids are smooth.

The cowon D2+ has great sound quality... but its memory is limited to 4GB or 8GB with expansion SD slot.

Do you guys roll the cable? What I notice is that when the cables are twisted then there is the cracking sound or worst the music becomes mono

Hi all, wondering if any of u own shure's IEM and have issues with the sound quality after 1yr of usage... The problem I am facing is while listening to music from the IEM there is lots of noise coming from the cables (or that what I believe). I own both the e3 and e5 and both have this same problem after 1yr, I think its because the cables are starting to oxidize or something.... Is there anyway to fix this or do I have to throw them away

The OK1 are ear plugs... looks like ordinary ones but have a high impedence of 150... normal mp3 players may not be able to drive them properly... the highs are good but u wont get head pounding bass from these. They are more suited for classical or jazz

I used the pico with my shure 5E, yuin ok1, and ed9... there bass improvements and the mids were smoother, no much difference in the highs though. Comparing with the mustang, the mustang does everything better than the pico and is smaller in size but more expensive

I m using the pico with the e5c. Sounds great, very revealing, better than the Tomahawk

the rsa tomahawk would b a gd upgrade. u should b able 2 get a second hand one 4 bout 300. the toma has great sound n batt life 4 an amp dat size.

that would depend on how u carry it? in a pouch or in the hand. I carry mine in the hand while running, its the IEM cables that gets in the way. The D2 is small and light. And the power from the D2 can drive almost all IEM with ease.

yup. u dun haf 2 listen 2 music at high vol. i only use 7 on the d2. bad thing is the noise from bad recording.

This is a good match. I am using the E5C with the D2, this dun need any amp to power. But I m using the toma to run them just to get better base control.

Just to update u guys... Had a good listen to kooncm's ALO780. My first impression was WOW! The sound stage and bass were great. the isolation was good, I tested them at Stereo and could not hear the surrounding after putting them on, almost as gd as my e5c. The only bad thing about this cans and also the edition 9 (which sounded even better) is that for high pitch sounds there is sibilance. Not sure if after the burn in will it go away. Looks like I found what i am looking for, the only thing now is either I wait till July for them to come into singapore or get them online... sigh....

I have test the i-qube but still plan to get the pico bcos the iqube is too big for me.

I have tried it, an in mho... think u will lose more money trying to get the stuff u want. Previously it was the lowest bid, now its the highest unique bid, but there is a cap to the amount u can bid for an item. The process fee varies from item to item, the hotter the item the more the processing fee. It can be from $2 - $10 or more. so far I have spent about $30 on processing fee and have got nothing. The site would recommend that you make a few bids for an item. This is suppose to increase the chances of you getting the item. But so far no luck for me
