  1. The UM1 was my only consideration. Hence i phrased the question that way.
  2. John, are you referring to the silver quad braided prototype?
  3. possible to rent a sch or community centre hall or something? but the fees would be an issue... Not enough equipment makers to share the cost.
  4. Lol, more local products too! Book an Expo Hall!
  5. I just went to Stereo last night, and pretty excited by the wide and increasing range of IEMs and Earphones. Coupled with the local products by Valgrind and a couple others, things can really get exciting in time to come!
  6. NTUC. The problem is they are not available all the time. I brought the green and yellow at one go last christmas. I brought the M&Ms mainly for the tin, because for the price of 5 bucks, the amount of chocolate in them are not exactly satisfying... Keep your eyes open for them. But my main point is to illustrate any metal containers of the right size is suitable. Those candy containers will do, just not that cute. TF10 is actually pretty tough, between short transitions i usually just stuff them in my pocket. I only put them into the containers when i want to put them away in my bag, to avoid crushing the TF10.
  7. Oh... If its because your ears are too big (sorry to be so direct), haha, then i dont think it would be a problem for my purpose. Thank you!
  8. U dont have to use the nice metal box that came with your TF10. I use a M&M's metal container for this purpose.
  9. Why is that so? I am thinking of getting a UM1 as a gift. Since i cant possibly bring that person to audit it (it will let the cat out of the bag), i was hoping the UM1 can just fit about anybody.
  10. we normally store the IEM in another metal case. not together with the ipod. Dont think there are any product in the market that fits what you want.
  11. Just interested to know, does anyone know of cases where someone's ears got problem fitting the UM1?
  12. Well, depending on personal finances i guess. One need to put a stop somewhere, or it would be a wild goose's chase. At the end of the day, spending time with family is still the most fulfilling activity i had ever have. Lol, heady, regarding the interconnects, thats why i push for DIY. I do find there are differences between different quality wires, but the gains decrease at an exponential rate while their cost increase at an exponential rate. Guess the important thing is to find the balance between them. And DIYing makes the whole hobby more fun!
  13. Ard there i suppose. But it seems that she havent settle on a fixed style yet.
  14. Thanks Nitrous, Enjoy. Yeah Habba, i told Wsatia about Koba. They got the white dock retailing at 3.50 each. The problem is, not many people want white docks nowadays. Lol, lim (the guy in Koba) was telling me about how he brought them in and suddenly everyone wants black. I want black too, hence got no choice but to order them online. I enjoy shopping in Koba, and if i got the time, i can stay in there for an awful long time, just to check out their stuff and dreaming up new designs.
  15. @Stephen, i think your tip will oxidize if you leave it on for so long.
  16. lol, you are being polite there when you say UM2 sound warm. I prefer UM1 over UM2.
  17. ridax is the online shop i got it from: http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/connector.htm i got a 2 spares lah, but i am not sure if anyone will approach me to ask me help them make LOD or not. If you are not in a hurry next time when i buy in i include ur share then. U just got to pay the dock and ur share of shipping can already. I dont think Stereo carries it yet. Hope they consider.
  18. Not sure if local store got carry. Its about 5 bucks ba, ard 3.5 USD. i got it online from ridax. U ask around the forums ba.
  19. Use this one: No chopping required.
  20. Hmm, use liquid paper to paint it. If you want a real good looking one u need to make a new one loh. Your earpieces are the atrios right? Bet the sliver plated copper goes well with it, should be delivering good bass now.
  21. This was a leaps and bounds from your previous one! Looks like there was a lot of filing. Haha, heavily customized! i look forward to your next one!
