Man, the only serious headphone I had is my HP890. Though I'm getting a senn later down the line to pair it up with the amp I'm getting from naz. Can't wait to get it though the parting of the dough I can wait. haha.

Yeah don't download. You're ripping off so many people. That aside, I don't think it's worth it to spend much on any set-up if your source would be mainly mp3s. Specially those illegally downloaded ones. As for higher quality there are 2 other formats I personally feel sound much much better than cds. SACDs and DVD-AUDIO. Personally I prefer the latter. Provides much higher resolution, better sound quality and surround sound (5.1).

So far I've been able to play all my cds on my second hand 8-10 year old cd deck. Honestly even those copy protected cds I could still play 'em, even to the extant of copying them. So far I've yet to encounter anything.

Sigh....after reading all the negatives of someone of my position(student) going into vinyls I've decided to put off any vinyl related purchases till at least a couple of months from now. I figured I should dedicated my cash to upgrading my cd listening set up first. I'm terribly sorry for asking so many questions and in the end pushing my purchase date later on. Anyways I thought of getting another pair of headphones and a headphone amp. I went to hung brothers yesterday and say a headphone amp branded creek for sale. The cheapest one was about $500++. Although I'm also a home theater fan and would love to finally get my hands on a dts decoder, decided music comes first. So I think I can expand my budget to around $500++. Is there any headphone amps I can get there are around that price or cheaper (that be best since I'm gonna get another pair of headphones as well). What's the best budget headphone amp? Thanks a mill....Also I'm going to need at least two headphone out. (But if there's a cheaper alternative for just a one ouput amp, that would suffice.) Ah what a waste, wanted to come but my job ends at 6pm. Wanted to go to town though cause thinking of getting a couple of cds at gramophone...hmm...

Haha, well, you may say not to discourage me in any way but your words speak otherwise. I don't feel exactly confident after reading all that. Well for me, it's not really for sound quality, I just need a turn table to play some of my vinyls. I'll probably get the shop I'm buying it from to help me set-up there and then at the shop? I don't know, see how it goes.
