jason i think i figure out what the problem was my R2 & R3 were different value created an un-balance in the ground ? now trying different value for R2/R3, the 4.7K on both seems to hav reduced the hissing, going to try 100k the list on Tangent site was really confusing, i think Kenshinz might hav the same problem too as he got the same set of components for himself as well , there was only 2 resistor of each value, so i ended up with R2 and R3 different value

sorry but they also look very nice

my floor is clean the original version of the plug did not sound good & they were had to wear, keeps dropping out. then i change them to this current sponge, they fit much better, and the isolation is great (ask jason, he tried it before) i think the isolation really brought out the full potential of this plug, it can hit lows like no other headphones i tried, its one of the main reason for my building the Cmoy, want to see if the cmoy can better the sound, cause it lacks a bit of details, but the lows will make u dizzy but i'm not sure what sponge they r...ETYs... they cost $2 each so far it has, at least to me, sound better the the sonys, but i never try the Etys before

Cmoy done liao but got problem...i'm hearing a "hissing" sound during the quite parts, kind of like its raining outside, also theres a click sound when change track is it normal? or can the sound be improved? the music itself sounds ok, need more listening to be sure. one more thing, i hav not put in the volume control yet, now using the volume control on MP3 player, whats funny to me is that without the amp i listen to it at abt 28 on the player, with the amp i only need to put to 5 and i can hear

there is another interesting pair of cans in the same page Audio Technica TI = titanium rite, so this also a first of its kind? ATH-CM7TI titanuim earphones anyone?
-
anyone notice the other non-wood cans in the same series? EM9D & EM9R EM9d EM9r i suspect the 9d may be an open headphone while the 9r is closed
-
i see Audio Technica has put "sovereign" on this as well, could mean they plan to market it as high-end portable headphones?? also as woodies, they make good candidates for future "limited edition" cans
-
something just hit me its small enough, maybe we can find someone to make leather coverings for it call it ATH-EL9
-
it does look like the same Cherry wood as the W1K does that put it as the only ear-phone with wooden housing?
-
i think the amp is going to cost more then the headphone
-
if the wood is the same as the W1000 series... close to $200 maybe the EM7 is $85 retail at Hung (their stock just arrive last week)
-
maybe also the Cmoy i'm building...cause i can't find a good case for it, may be building my own case out of wood
-
was going to get the EM7, but decided against it after reading some threads in here, is it that bad? u think the mini woody will sound better
-
looks like the EM7 in wood
