A lot of Zard songs rocks

IMHO, grados produce thumping bass (like a heart beat) tight and accurate, almost non-existant soundstage (seems like the singer is in front of you) and bright (some people may not like it). It's a fun headphone to have especially when listening to rock, pop etc. Directly opposite to grado is sennheisers - layback and relaxing which a lot of people will say it's boring.. Everyone has different taste, better to audition to find out which kind of cans you prefer.. my 2 cents

Foobar2000 just hookup my EMU0404 to benchmark DAC1..awesome is the word..

How old is ur 595??

Zard's songs have very catchy and uptempo beats, they have slow songs also, but it's her fast pieces that i love. Can nvr grow tired of her voice..hehe I have the long black box version of their greatest hit . I also feel awkward listening to only one of them singing. like something is missing from the song leh

I am using the SR225 with my ipod mini, the thick cables can get irritating after a while, but you will get used to it. I just chunk everyting into my bag

A pity Headsave is no longer in operation. yup..sad that headsave is closed..norm makes gd amps..

I have A2, Prodigy and EMU0404 all in my rig, coexisting peacefully.. Well actually prodigy have some stuttering once in a while which maybe due to PCI bus utilization, but I guess it's because I have a lot of PCI devices A little tweak solved the problem..hehe

Grado headphones shld be easy to drive mah, seldom see people complain about it with portables. I bought a headsave go-vibe from www.headsave.com . Total cost inc shipping is around S$130. Now connecting my ipod mini line-out to the headamp and to my SR225..

SR80 to SR225 is a good upgrade (bad for the wallet thou ) Speaking from personal experience, but now came out a gold version SR325i, which reviews say is better than the old SR325.
