tok2mi 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2006 lol... sf5 eb bass is heavier than um2. Im sure of that. tested both out before. actually for superfi series, i guess the isolation losses out to westone. Using the double flange improves the isolation further, but causes the earphones to stick out more. =x

xhui 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 Not earbuds...IEMs!! Who needs earbuds when we can have... isolation. oops. sorry.. new to all these terms.. btw, I GOT MY UM1! guys at SE were patient as i asked questions, played around with the um1 tips, tried e sf3 too.. but i prefer the comfort, lightweight and durability(as claimed ) of the um1 to the sf3 which i had trouble putting them on.. happy owner now~
laser 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 what do u guys think of the shure e3c as compared to the um1 and superfi 3 somehw i didnt like um1
Exloser 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 many say shure 3 is not worth the purchase.. some jump from E2c to E4C..
Theatre Of Dreams 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 sf3 was my pick over um1 and e2c. no doubt um1 looks nice, but to me it sounds kinda dull with relatively less (recessed, if i'm not wrong) bass and treble, resulting in the mids standing on its own and sounding hollow. e2c's bass is on the other hand too overpowering. reminds me of my previous ep-630. hence i got the sf3, which sounds just nice, balanced to me. more differentiation among the different frequencies. just my subjective view, no offence. Zephyron 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2006 My new fave in the pre SG$200 category is now the iM716 though, with the SF3 coming in a close 2nd Personal preference.
