It gaved me the impression that the H3xx had baaaad sound quality and a rather "cleeean" signal.

 

I digress.

H3xx series had never any TRUE line-outs.

THey are shared with the volume and that is one thing that i hate about it.

Umm, can you elaborate on the part about true line out? I don't have a good understanding about how it works, and the thing with shared volume too.

Line-out by-passes the normally lousy built-in amplifer for use with an externaml (usually better) one.

 

Also, is the another player (DAP) with a true line-out or optical-out?

the sound frm line-out could still be affected when you adject the EQ setting ......
