artemov 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Just bought the first set of replacement complys for my UM1. It is bloody expensive! Don't think it is worthwhile in the long run. Is it possible to get a larger number of the complys at a lower price? Or are there other alternatives? Please help! Cheers and Happy 2007.

Guest Cruise Report post Posted January 3, 2007 i second Shure Grey Flex Sleeves! if u are under budget of always to change the complys.. its easy to squeeze them in than the complys, where u'll have to change the size to squeeze them to ur ear canals.. Honestly, the reason i dont wanna change to a custom is becos i have the intention to upgrade to a ES2
okw3188 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2007 Just got a pair of UM1 from SE today and would like to check how long can the original comply last.
radioactive28 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2007 You'll reach a point where you compress the foam and it 'inflates' without enough time for you to insert into your ears. Or when it's too sticky from the wax
NOback 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2007 (edited) Buy a Tri flange cut the top part . To get a better seal put on any used comply foam(with out the white thing in the middle) on the um1 for each side . Then put the modded tri flange over the foam . Works well Edited January 28, 2007 by NOback

eugen3 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2007 nothing beats customs coz my canal shapes are different for both ears and its very very hard to get a good fit even with foams. by that time i would have probably torn half of the inner ear skin off already. eugen3 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2007 true... but they last you very long. and removes all the fiddling around with a good fit. insert,, twist and it's in place. sonically, it improves too.
