So, end of the day it still boils down to personal preference. Whether u prefer a warmer sound or a more detailed sound. As i said, can't comment about the C700s but i can share some thoughts on my newly depodded iM716s (47ohm). (i'll try my best as i'm not really gd at describing sounds) Bass: Detailed and Deep. Delivers bass in quality, not quantity Mids: Again, very detailed. Vocals are upfront. Treble: Once again, fantastic details, but not overly harsh. Has this good sense of airyness ie u can feel the vibration of the air with every strum of the guitar. Overall: Good Detail across the spectrum. Unmodded HD mode was too analytical and harsh but depodding it solves this problem completely. Almost up to the ER-4's level if u ask me, at less than half its price.
