I chose the PX100s over the 200s because: 1) From the reviews and articles I read on the net, open cans are sonically superior to the closed ones. I don't wish to compromise sound quality over shutting out outside noise, because I might use the cans at home from time to time. The salesman confirmed this, but who knows? Haha... 2) I figured that when it gets too noisy on the bus/mrt, I can always up the volume to shut out the hinderance the good old fashioned way. I mean the Grados are open-air, aren't they? 3) It seems slimmer? PS- S$79.90 at Hung Bros

So technically as long as I use my earphones/headphones for a long period of time, they're runned-in?

Is it necessary to run in a pair of earphones, take for example the MX500? Will there be any difference if I decide to run in my equipment later, after using them for say a period of a few weeks?

Hey there! I intend to get both the MX500 and PX200 tomorrow. From what I heard off the Head-Fi.org forums, the PX200 has heavier bass and poorer sound quality compared to the PX100 because it's closed. But then again, I'll be using the PX200 quite a lot on the MRT so... Hey wait a min- I'll be using it at home on the computer too. Can anyone please recommend where to get the Senns above? And whether to get the 100 or 200, if budget's not a concern. Thanks so very much!
