my experience is also "yes". It will sound difference. Sound good/better/bad/worse/whatever, I can't comment as it is very subjective.

hi Mr ablaze, a question. could the resident category to sub-categorise as resident(1500), senior resident(2000) and very senior resident(3000). This is because it is now listed as resident(1500), resident(2000) and resident(3000), sound weird...? Thanks!

IMHO, i don't think NAD products, in general, are that inferior, they are not that expensive in SG also. I got a NAD C440 tuner and it is ok to me. Of course, i don't know how to analyse "sound", i listen to music and songs for radio stations. my -2cts.
