Hi Heady, Get a used pair of dyn contour 1.1, should be below $1k. The problem is that it was discontinued and they are now very hard to come by in the 2nd hand market. I have heard the Dyn Focus series also, but personally think that it is not as good as the old dyn contour.

Hi metalgear, I think it is catching up as more and more people aware of this hobby, thanks to the internet. Also need to thanks some enterprising local suppliers like SE and Jaben who bring in some hard to find and hard to reach eqpt. Their effort cannot be dismissed. I believe there is mini-meet off and on among forumers.

Hi Xp, One more vote to the OPPo 970. Play some SACDs with it also when you audition it at X audio.

Thks, likely to go for belden/canare. Monster is good, but I think(IMHO) its products are overpriced.
