thinking about the denon ahd-550 http://djmart.com/denon550.html i want bass and soundstage most. but still good clear sound... and plenty of isolation.

THe HD600 was using the Oelhbach replacement cable. i've heard that cable can actually be bad for the 650's

the responce on the site looks like headrooms measurement of the grados'..cept grado's go far higher than 16,000.... measuements can be of different types.. well.. good luck.. make sure they have a 30 day return policy... please!

you can get better interconnects for less money than the same quality speaker cable... soe make the ic's longer.

there's also the gorver cables that are silver... for less.. including the rca's... and siltech makes some silver/copper/gold hybrids for a reasonable price.. starting at $100 ( spearitaudio.com ... that's a new zealand cable company... they get good reveiws... supposed to blow van de hul's outa the water!) ... silver isn't always better... for bass there's the eric343 nitrogen cables... they supposedly match the vd nites but have more bass... for only $130.. i think... you can have more expensive rca's put on them if you like.

iriver imp 550 (case has been altered to the point that the player looks like trash.. literally... yup.. i'm an ididot! ).. straightwire mini to rca.. alessandro/grado music series 2... and a full blown meta 42... opa 627 (the best grade.. i forget what it is.. bp.. or ap.. or some crap) ... 4x el2001 buffers... alps blue pot, linkwitz crossfeed, 1000uf panasonic caps.. switch craft rca's and 1/4inch out... and 24v elpac.. i've had varying opinions.. but can that amp properly drive the dt880? i'll post pics one of these years.. but.. you wouldn't like the look of it all.

i heard the cambridge 640c .. it sounded really nice... my dream system would be it.. my ms2's... some dt880's.. a graham slee solo headphone amp.. and some siltech cables. does anyone here know the u.s. prices for all the consonance products? they don't show.
