  1. I would say, 350D with L Lens or other good lens I think better not to spend too much on body, unless you are a profesional that need a workhorse camera. If you buy 350D + EF-S 17-85mm (the new EF-S) + Dedicated Flash, it is already more than 3K I am selling my EOS 5 + 2 lenses + 540EZ flash because of under utilized The 2 lenses sold, just the body and flash are still waiting in the second hand camera shop, waiting for new owner
  2. I would say it is a good offer! Don't look at the 3 Mp res, at it will give better result than even 4 Mp compact digicam which priced about the same these days. The high ISO is really something that compact cannot compete with DSLR. Ask yourself, how you will use the DSLR. If it is for occasional foto shooting, I would say S1 with this price is a steal Hi Heady, upgrading to D70 or waiting for D50? Nikon will come with something to compete the 350D Just a hint So better wait a while
  3. Nice shots Tropical Did you use custom WB? If you like to use custom WB, try a foam cup (take one from the food court ). Put it in front of the lens, point the lens to the light source, and set the custom WB (or take a pic for custom WB reference). Also try C1 DSLR Pro, it is very good RAW converter, eventhough not very user friendly. The PS CS RAW also gives a lot of adjusment, but be carefull with the sharpness adjustment. I found it it very ugly So use the sharpness adjustment mildly and wisely Just my 2Cents
  4. Tropical, the curve setting seems to work very well Subtle but significant
  5. Hi All, sorry for not participating for some time Qoo, I like you candle foto, very nice with correct exposure Tropical, I used Nikon FM2 long time ago, and now selling my Canon EOS5. Still using G2 for the mean time, waiting for the new EOS 350D Sorry guys, I'm not joining D70 club The 350D is very cool, small, powerfull, and.... cheap...
  6. Not to sure with the 74HCU04 circuit, but setting the ground in the middle of the supply voltage is good to avoid capacitor in the audio line
  7. Huangyong, where do you see the balanced input/output ?? So far I never seen balanced output for headphone I don't see balanced input in Digi amp either. Probably the front switch is the power switch Just my guess...

My impression of Bose Quiet Comfort (I just don't understand why they couldn't make good stuff): http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=2406
  9. Very expensive mod indeed How's the sound? Worth the mod or not?
  10. Very nice cool casing!!! Huangyong, I don't see XLR connectors on the rear panel, so I guess it is unbalanced. Am I right Digi?
  11. Read my review about op-amps, probably you will find a suitable one for your taste.
  12. Interesting Heady! Congrats for another tin can amp So the ps is +3V-0 or +1.5V-0-(-1.5V) ?

  17. I think after the Chinesse New Year would be better. Suggestion for meeting place and day: Burger King Burlington Square, Saturday morning before tropical go to work. We can have breakfast there . Or probably SLS food court if not BK.

  19. Wow, your mobile camera is very good Waiting for your review Tropical
  20. Thanks for the review Please let us know the your finding for the op-amp combination
  21. Not for the 512 Mb and 1 Gb version The ATH-EW9 is around $ 200.- and the N200 1 Gb is around $ 300.-. I also use Sony MDR-E888 with it, quite natural sounding, but lack of bass a bit. I wonder if any of you know the sound characteristic of Beyerdynamic DTX 20 (is the bass average of more than average)
  22. I guess what N@Z meant was the adapter price. Unfortunately it is not available localy. You can buy online from B&H but the shipping cost is high. Ask your friend if they go to New York http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home? I did a work around Buy two ring adapter of Cokin filter, should cost around SGD 4.- each, available in any size, then glue them with super glue. You get adapter to mount your lens face to face It works for me. Use wide angle lens, 50 mm is the max, otherwise you will get vignette
  23. Wow, I like it very much Very well done !!! Can I try it? Probably when we meet later
