I believe the UE10 is more suitable if you wanna go custom. Anyway triple drivers IEMs are not necessarily better than dual drivers IEMs. It all depends on what you are looking for. I guess many of us are aiming for the UE10 Pro just for ego rather than for the sound.. it'll be a costly mistake if it turns out bad, cos it has got no resale value.

Let's say you have a wav file ripped from a CD. You convert this wav to FLAC, then from FLAC to WavPack, then from WavPack to APE, then from this APE to a WAV file again. You should get exactly the same WAV file you started off with. This was checked by comparing the MD5 and CRC of the orginal WAV file. So if you are going LOSSLESS, you shld get back the same file if you uncompress it. Or you can do this also (I did this before) => Wav -> FLAC Wav -> APE -> FLAC Wav -> WavPack -> FLAC The resulting FLAC file should have the same MD5 or CRC hash check. So to sum it all up, there will be no loss of data if you are going lossless. It's similar to using ZIP or RAR, the compression format is different, but the data within is still the same. Theoretically the above shld hold.. but of cos Windows OS can be weird sometimes. Pls correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps.

I have a set of E5c which I purchased from earphonesolutions almost 1yr+ ago (I can't remember exact date). Thinking of selling it because I bought the E500 so I don't see the need to keep this. Cables are a bit greenish due to oxidation but performance is not affected. Not used very often even before I got my E500 as I prefer my E4c. Comes with original box, accessories and full set of NEW eartips (new ones from my other Shure IEMs). Ya now cannot smoke inside liao.. much better.. Last time inside was like a gas chamber. In fact I only play snooker there.. the pool tables there are somewhat too low for me compared to other places. The cues there sux big time.. it's hard to find a decent cue especially if you reach there when its crowded. No wonder so many ppl bring their own cues there to play..
