Get some one to build you a Grado RA1 Clone

My HD600 sounded quite ok out of my desktop but of course with some compromise. The cheapest amp which sounds good with a HD600 is a RA1 clone. YMMV

THe Cary SLI80 and the 300 SEI come with remotes for volume. Both amps can be purchased from Music by Design at Adelphi. I have heard the Cary SLI 80 with the HD650 using the Equinox cable. This combination is something to behold. www.caryaudio.com

The HD650 is quite difficult to drive, hence it would be preferable to get an amp. However I have not heard it with the player you intend to get. It would be better if you could bring your HD650 down for an audition.

Is there any difference in the sonic signature if any, if it is pure triode or partial triode?

I have tried replacing the HD600 with the HD650 and there doesn't seems to have much improvement at all. It seems like the HD650 stock is more beefy and that's about it.
