I found someone selling a pair a nice price of 80 bucks, second hand. From what I've read, a second hand px200 is better, because it's already burnt in. Just asking how does it compare to the sharp md33's, in terms of isolation, freq response, comfortability.

Compared to an EMU, however, it's way more expansive. Well, the Elite Pro is... That said, can't wait for CNY next year!

IMO, both the iPod and Zen have their faults. I've seen quite a few 3G ipods crash frequently for no apparent reason (age?). My Micro also stalls sometimes (fortunately correctable by removing the battery). It all comes down to preferrence, I suppose. For me, I go Creative, cause I consider sound quality over looks. Can't wait for their said implementation of their new X-Fi into their DAP lines.

Just wondering, does anyone know how it compares to the EMU? Cause right now, I'm witholding buying an EMU, if only to wait for the X-Fi. If it doesn't match up, than might as well get an EMU.

My friend, on impulse, and because he thought it was as good as the md-33's, bought a pair. I tried them. Crap. For people with small ears, the clip thing seriously hurts. This hinders the HARD rubber sleeves from fitting in and providing the needed isolation. So, while there's practially no isolation, bass can't get through because IMO low freqs in in-ear phones travel through the sleeves. Just a first impression though, perhaps it takes more time to fit and burn in...

They should stay around the same price...no reason to change, unless there's a sale...which so far I haven't seen from Hung Bro's. Example, the price of a HD 280pro Senn was 239 in March. Last I checked, it was still at that price...As for negotiation, hehe, dunno, not very good at it...

Holy crap...just tried method 2, stretching the foam over the grill...bass is DEFINITELY deeper. It's sharp, powerful and quite satisfying overall. Tempted to try method 1, but scared. Don't want to hurt my wallet again. Would you mind doing it?

? Ohms is impedance...shows generally how much power it takes to drive the cans. The lower the better. Freq. response tells you what frequencies it can reach. Of course, the wider the better.

But it's only 2.1 channels right? So I can't connect to 5 or 7?

Currently burning-in...and I have to say it's better than anything I've heard so far. The first thing I notice is the excellent isolation. I can't say they have the isolation quality of proper ear plugs, as I can hear background noise when the sound's turned down, but when it's at nominal volume it's shows it's mettle. Sound wise, I found the bass a BIT lacking...but maybe I'm too used to my previous earphones. Have to turn it up a bit to hear the deep tones of a cello. Other than that, the mids and highs are crystal clear. Gonna get my hands on a Ety and shure at the end of the year to compare One thing that bother's me a bit is the microphonics. Not as good as a stock pair. It seems like vibrations are channelled to the ends and comes out as 'thuds'. For example, when I was walking home today, my footstep 'thuds' were audible. Another small nitpick is the length of cable. A tad too much. Other than that, this has been one of the best buys I've had this year (the other being my hd280pro)

Indeed. I don't know about the technicalities of it, but I know that the portable microcontroller can't match up to the PC's onboard sound. I feel the PC gives more depth to the sound, eg. deeper bass, clearer highs and warm mids.

I'm fine with meeting Absolute0 at marsiling around 6-7. Just give me a conveniant time and I can come collect on any evening.
