  1. 'Rips, have your tried using the "Save to Web" function in PS? Try different jpeg quality settings, you can see the estimated output size every time you change the values. In general most images saved as 640x480 tend to be below 100kb (at 80% quality & below).
  2. I really like the shots from that Tamron lens.
  3. I like the 2nd one, so cheeky! On the 1st 3 portraits, subject is too close to the background causing a soft shadow to be cast. The sharpening looks overdone or did that happen when you resized it? I think it would look better if it was softer (nothing that a little work on PS can solve ). Passport photos tend to be sharp but there is little facial shadows, in this case it works as it adds a character to the portrait.
  4. Those Tamron pics I much prefer to your Sigma ones. Maybe the Sigma's images appear softer to me.
  5. I remember seeing it at the site & on right clicking the image, properties, confirmed it. For your OT query here's the tip from the FAQ forum: http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=2383 see the 2nd & 3rd post.
  6. I think that image belongs to harbortronics.com, the company making the 3rd party battery pack/vertical grip.
  7. I still want a VR!!! Schwinnngg!!! Shame, there's another vintage car show this Sunday. Unless I can borrow my cousin's telephoto lens...
  8. Does it really matter?
  9. See his signature, does that mean he's already purchased a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8EX APO IF??? If not, go the whole hog maaann... one of these!
  10. We or just YOU specifically 'rips?
  11. In the interest of keeping the thread pages easier for viewing, it is requested that members who have signatures at the bottom of their posts ensure that it does not exceed 6 lines of normal sized text or a linked image no larger than 480x120 pixels. Your cooperation concerning this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  12. U guys remember the photo of the 2 babes I posted a while back? Well... take a closer look in the background, does that look like Jenson Button to you? Apparently I read in today's local paper he was here on 'weather aclimatisation' before the Sepang Race. Alot of good that did him in today's race!
  13. Whaaat! Unbelievable! Even I've been there matey! Although that was many years ago.
  14. Happy Birthday Ming Ming! Long time no see here!
  15. When I check image properties your 1st pic is about 2x the size (646x503pixels) of the others (~320x255pixels) hence the difference in size. If you're using irfanview, for image sizes at around 640x480pixels I suggest before you save it as a jpeg, move the jpeg save quality slider to 90. It should be not more than 100kb after saving otherwise move the slider in increments. Alternatively use Photoshop which has a better image quality to file size compromise when you use the 'Save for web' function. Plus you get to see the output file size before saving so you can make the necessary ajustments beforehand.
  16. No problemo boss. Now I understand... I was wondering why the eyepiece is on top. It flips down in the 2nd last pic. DOH! Make sure I'm the 'next-of-kin' for all those lovelies!
  17. You forgot to resize it maybe. Preferably 640x480 or 800x600 (or max 100kb). I'll do that for you.
  18. This is his 80-200mm push-pull zoom lens. Notice the crack on the lens! He still uses it & the image is not affected, try that on a DSLR! The thing I like about this lens is, even though the lens will creep if you hold it vertically, the lens does not extend only the 1 touch grip moves along the barrel. It's a manual focus, the barrel will turn when focusing. Like his FM2, it is equally riddled with dust. When I mentioned it to him he just took a piece of normal tissue paper & wiped it! Eventhough I offered to clean it with my cleaning kit! Hardcore man!
  19. My staff's FM2. You would baulk at the way he treats it. He doesn't use a lens cap (but thankfully has a skylight filter fitted), the body & lens are riddled with dust at the crevises & he literally dropped it about nearly 1 foot high just to show me how robust it is!
  20. 'Drain cat' is nice. Would have been interesting had you taken a closer shot of that row of shops with the colourful shutters.
  21. 5 meter cable length is not standard so you will need to get an extension for that.
