  1. MBD currently has a set burning in, tried it yesterday and it sounded good but the highs were a bit shrill, maybe it will be better after burn in.
  2. You could start off with a cmoy

    DIY CD transport

I think you may be interested in this, saw this on echoloft, its a Cdpro2M kit from ahfartaudio http://www.echoloft.com/cgi-bin/buysell/Ya...&num=1189209335
  4. If I'm not wrong, Larry HiFi carries Shanling but I'm not too sure if they have the ph100, however, I saw the MC-3 on display there. For the Original Master, you could try Coem audio.
  5. According to their Singapore website, it costs $99. Its still cheaper than an ipod Shuffle.
  6. I agree that the um1 is a very good IEM to start with. Its comfortable and does not require an amp.

    RS-2?

Hey wil, thanks, I almost forgot about it. Why don't you bring down your headfive to MBD and try audition the headphones you are interested in. And maybe you could add the MS-pro to your list.

    RS-2?

Hey wil, skip the rs2 and go for a used rs1.... I think the headfive is a good amp for light/night use especially since it looks like you will be listening to your speaker setup most of the time, nice upgrades by the way like the CEC.
  9. It looks like a westone um1 / um2....
  10. I'm using the PA2V2 with UM1s and I think the gain on the amp is quite high, there's some hiss that can be heard, other than that, it adds more body to the sound when unamped
  11. Bring your source down to Stereo and try all the IEMs Within your budget, decide what to buy based on what you hear and not what other people think.
  12. Has anyone heard this amp with a beyer DT880 before?
  13. I think a e4 would be a good choice, it leans more towards the ety sound than the e5 I think.
  14. $1600 is a lot of money for a headphone, what ever you do , don't buy on impluse, audition all your choices and find the sound you are looking for.
