E5 is known for its bass while the ER series for their detail. You could read their reviews at headroom, which is rather informative, given that these are rather 'famous' IEMs.

I am a Creative supporter, and so, I'll suggest the Zen Micro. Listen at the minimum volume too, without any audible hiss. (unless my ears can't hear them, which is highly unlikely.)

Point taken, especially with my CD player which is rather old. No problem with the Zen Micro or MuVo though.

The others may disagree, but I feel that that a great upgrade in the In-Ear Monitor line would be the Westone UM1. It is rather cost competitive amoungst the IEMs and sounds rather good (speaking from experience).

Might want to go for the EP-880 instead. The ep-480s are the stock buds for the Zens.

Creative EP-630 is a great buy at this price ($42). Blocks out ambient noise rather well. If you would like to go up a notch, the audio technica CK7 at $100+ is a good buy too.

I would like to a question which is rather off Do the SACDs only play on those stationary CD player? Read from somewhere that the SACDs usually have both the normal and SACD recording so that it can still play on normal CD players.

Listened to them for about a few minutes or so today at the PC show. Sounded rather similar to the e3. The fit is not too good though, the e2 and e3 easily trumps it. However, I am rather pleased with the isolation. Great entry to the IEM by Creative.
